Horrendous Anonymous reviewerHours spent trying to connect. All the usual workrounds, restarting hub, resetting bulb, trying direct connection to Hue hub. Nothing. Had similar issues with Ikea door sensors etc. it shouldn’t be this hard. Will be returning them (yet again)

Matter over thread in home assistant what a treatAnonymous reviewerGreat value for money. I have a number of these running in home assistant using the matter over thread integration. I am using a ZBT-2 dongle and the network is super stable. They are a pain to connect. If you are running a wifi mesh, turn off the wifi on your phone while in the same room where you are installing the bulb and back in. Also restart home assistant after each install. Once connected they act as a router for the next one and if you are installing one quite a distance away from your hub or dongle, buy a few more matter over thread devices or light bulbs which uses power to make your network stronger first. The more you install, the better your network will be. The colours are great especially the whites and yellows.
Do not buyAnonymous reviewerThese bulbs are absolutely shocking, they are a nightmare to setup, we had one power cut and they have completely disconnected themselves from the hub and no way to reconnect them.
Matter isn't ready yet for mainstream products and the old IKEA eco system was much better. Having to return all my matter products now as it's just poor.
Matter bulb for a fantastic priceAnonymous reviewerThis is a fantastic bulb for the price. Perhaps a four star review is a bit harsh but I have had some issues with it reconnecting after long periods. I do plan to buy other others for the other down lighters in my kitchen.

Fantastic bulbsAnonymous reviewerThese are the best value colour GU10 bulbs I have seen. Pair with the Bilresa (scroll wheel) remote or Matter over threads router. The bright white is I think the brightest white I have seen in a GU10 LEDs, it's blinding. There appears to be no compromise for having the colour capability. Some of the colours appear to be for night light use. Issues: Ikea's almost total lack of docs explaining anything. Finally, if you want a smart LED GU10 I can't see why you would buy anything else even if you want white most of the time (oh these bulbs do Bright white and warm whites through yellow and orange, plus colours.)
Excellent ValueAnonymous reviewerThe white and colour GU10 bulbs are an upgrade on the Tradfri version, and a great implementation of Matter.
I paired six bulbs with Apple Home using the Matter code. They were found immediately and all added without issues. I have since shared them to the Dirigera hub, but there was really no need — IKEA allows platforms like Apple Home to install updates to the bulbs.
These are brighter than the Tradfri versions, but it’s important to know the advertised lumen value is for white light. If you use a full colour, such as green or red, the brightness will be lower. This is fairly typical of “white and colour” bulbs.
One last comment: on another Kajplatts model a reviewer has suggested the firmware must be faulty because the bulb “tries to be a router”. Always-on, mains powered Thread devices ARE capable of routing your Thread network. They’re termed “router eligible end devices” (REEDs). The more you have the better your Matter over Thread experience will be.
Excellent bulbsAnonymous reviewerI bought four of the colour GU10 bulbs. They work with my Apple TV Home hub without requiring an IKEA hub, and they're very keenly priced.
The bulbs work well, respond fast, are stable, and receive updates through the Matter system.
Setup was simple for 3 of the bulbs, the last one refused to connect to my Apple Home. I reset it by switching it on & off 6 times, as stated in their manual, and it finally paired.
Well done IKEA, this is how smart home products should be.
