Best colour smart bulbs on the marketAnonymous reviewerTrying to find affordable matter sensors is a very difficult challenge, ikea's contribution to the matter space is remarkable and their light bulbs are no different. Alboslutely best on the best for functionality and price.
The non-colour bulbs are slightly cheaper but for the the functionality difference as much a small price gap I'd suggest just getting these.
Super value.Anonymous reviewerMy existing smart lighting is from an alternative premium make, these are equally as good an a fraction of the price. 5 mins to set up and then hours of fun playing with all the colours of the spectrum. I also hooked up a Bilresa switch for 8 set colour blends plus an OFF. I will be buying many more of this particular LED lamp. Thank you.
GoodAnonymous reviewerI own both the E27 and E14 sizes of these smart bulbs, and they are excellent. Setup and pairing are very straightforward. A huge bonus is that they act as mains-powered repeaters for your Matter/Thread network, significantly extending your smart home's range. They are very affordable yet still deliver fantastic colour and brightness. You really can't knock them for the price—highly recommended!
Also extends your Thread networkAnonymous reviewerApart from working as a smart bulb, these bulbs also act as a repeater for your Thread network, which is the radio system linking Thread Matter devices. Having more repeaters in your Thread network makes it more reliable and extends the range.
Great smart light if you use home assistantAnonymous reviewerThese are great value for money and a great product. I have mine connected to home assistant and I use the matter over thread integration and a ZBT-2 as the radio (OTBR). They are a pain to connect but once they are connected, the network is super stable. Tip. If yours refuse to connect and you are running a mesh wifi network, make sure your phone and the device is on the same network by turning off your phone’s wifi in the room where you are connecting the lamp and back on. I also restarted my home assistant after each connection and that seemed to do the job. The lights itself iare not as good as ones you pay 4 to 5 times the prize for (the well known zigbee connected lights) but unless you have them next to each other you wont notice and these are great value for your money especially if you are planning to add many of these. The whites and yellows are very good and it is bright enough. I have not tried connecting them using the Z2MQTT but matter over thread gets a thumbs up.
Poor replacement for TradfriAnonymous reviewerI have three of these new Kajplats bulbs. Two have already been replaced. All three constantly disconnect, no Smart Control capability and currently they will not connect at all. They’ve been reset multiple times. I have around 20 of the Tradfri bulbs and not one single problem these are a very poor substitute

Impossible to connect to hubAnonymous reviewerBought 2 Kajplats E27 bulbs..So far we have not been able to connect them to our Dirigera smart hub. The Tradfri bulbs we bought last year connected without issue. It looks like it is proving problematic for a lot of people.
Works well with Home Assistant / Zigbee2MQTTAnonymous reviewerJust installed one of these as a replacement for a TRADFRI bulb that broke, seems to work pretty well so far! It's brighter than the previous bulb and has different colour reproduction, also £1 cheaper. I don't think it's officially documented but switching on/off 12 times activates Zigbee pairing mode, and it's fully supported in Zigbee2MQTT including groups / colours / effects.
