Best colour matter smart bulbs on the marketAnonymous reviewerTrying to find affordable matter sensors is a very difficult challenge, ikea's contribution to the matter space is remarkable and their light bulbs are no different. Alboslutely best on the marrket for functionality and price.
The non-colour bulbs are slightly cheaper but for the functionality difference at such a small price gap I'd suggest just getting these.

DreadfulAnonymous reviewerHad these for about a week now, and have been unable to even put these bulbs into pairing mode to connect my home assistant, it says switch on / off 12 times, but apparently it only maybe works when you do at the correct speed, but nowhere mentions the speed. If you want a bulb that effortlessly connects to your wifi, these are not them! I cant seem to find any other bulb like this in this size, so im extremely disappointed with these and will absolutely not be spending a further £70 quid on an IKEA smart hub

Good price and works wellAnonymous reviewerPrice is very reasonable and the matter integration works well with Apple HomePod and Home Assistant. Using home assistant I have them setup to always turn on when powered up but I can dim them at night using voice control or Apple home widgets. The only thing I haven’t figured out is if there was a way to set a default colour or brightness when first turned on. But I like that I can have them function as a normal bulb by default and also secondarily control them via phone.

Great bulb, bright coloursAnonymous reviewerI bought this because of the fit and brightness so the colours are a novelty for me rather than part of the plan - I’d have been happy with shades of white. That said, the colours are vibrant and very gradual so you can get pretty much any colour you want.
Bulb is well made and responds quickly to app settings.
Matter is the go-forward standard and the fact that these work with any matter ecosystem without specialist bridges is excellent.
I will be buying more!
Great smart bulbs with a hidden bonusAnonymous reviewerThese lights are really good — bright enough for lamps and small fixtures, and the colour options look great. I originally bought them for Matter, but I found out you can actually add them to a Zigbee network too. Instead of the usual 6 power cycles to reset, you just switch them off 12 times and the bulb flashes faster to show it’s in Zigbee mode. Once I did that, they paired perfectly. A nice unexpected bonus on top of already solid performance.
Perfect!Anonymous reviewerI’ve had these a couple of weeks now and they work really well. I can’t quite believe how small they are which is perfect as mine are in ceiling fans with not much room so that’s great. They are bright, connected easily to Apple Home and Home Assistant, they are very responsive and just do everything I need them to. I did update them immediately to version 1.2 I think it was so not sure if the other review was on an older version but yes, very happy!
Perfect light, matter makes it easyAnonymous reviewerIf you have a different thread border router, such as a Google home, Apple Homepod, Nest home, Echo Show etc. You don't even need the Ikea hub to set it up, I added this bulb instantly to Apple Home and can control it from my phone with Siri. The colours are perfect and the light goes super bright, 10/10
Bright smart lightsAnonymous reviewerExcellent light output for its size. Pairing process to IKEA Dirigera hub using Matter isn’t as seamless as older IKEA Zigbee bulbs. Instructions need to be clearer on this point, do not lose the QR code included in the packaging. It’s critical to the pairing process. It is much slower to setup compared to Zigbee bulbs from experience.
Very bright, but colour problems!Anonymous reviewerThe light is very bright but has problems achieve the right colours, warm white in colour temprature mode is nuclear yellow across all of the KAJPLATS lights, and they flash bomb you when you go from 0% to 5% as they seem to have to go via 100% which means as a night light they blind you briefly. Also with the colour bulbs at low brightness the blue LED doesn't fade with the red LED making purple look pink at <5~10%.
Worst matter/thread lights everAnonymous reviewerI’m at a loss for words. These lights are so faulty that my entire thread network collapsed. For two days I meticulously checked and rechecked every device, finally realising the problem was with these light bulbs. As soon as I installed them, over 60 devices became unresponsive. The software is so flawed that it transforms them into routers instead of endpoints, causing a domino effect and collapsing everything else. Once I removed them entirely, my network returned to normal. I wish I could return them but I already binned the boxes.
