To find out how to best help people with issues like this, Paul and his colleagues visited different homes on three continents. They took pictures and bombarded the homeowners with storage-related questions. “We got to see the hard truth, and it wasn’t always pretty,” smiles Paul. “Many have closets with just a shelf and a rail underneath. It’s simple, but not very functional. They stuff the shelf and hang as much as they can on the rail – the rest ends up on the floor.”

Frame YES, levelling screws and wall stays NO.Anonymous reviewerBought to replace a much older set of similar but bit narrower (which I preferred) IKEA sliding shelving metal frames whose plastic drawers have disintegrated, so I like that this metal frame has metal draws as an option. Had fun hammering in the frame connectors... unfortunately these make the frame not dismantable. This wasn't clear before purchase. Hate the tiny levelling screws as they will damage flooring by the time all the added storage weight is factored in. I didn't use them and I have instead stuck large glides underneath, as levelling isn't really needed. Even though I was careful I still hurt a finger clipping on the wall safety stays. You need to be strong and I had to a use metal tool (claw of hammer) to force the clips apart a bit whilst pushing them in place at the same time as holding the frame still. Felt like a contortionist. This was the most frustrating and time consuming part of the build. Looks good in utility room as matches my existing IKEA metal shelves.
Great value for the price.Anonymous reviewerThis is the fourth lot of Jonaxel items I have bought. They are easy to assemble. Lightweight to move but sturdy enough to store tools, DIY paraphernalia and gardening equipment in my garage.
I am now finding so many other uses for it.
Especially good in a small tight space as the drawers pull right out and everything can be seen and accessed from the front or side.
I now have them in my kitchen cupboards so my elderly mother doesn't have to bend, in her wardrobe, and one for all her knitting and sewing so it is no longer spread all over the house but in one place which she can remember.
I am now thinking another for her entrance way. For her coats shoes hat gloves and scarves rather than keep going upstairs to her wardrobe.
Some I have put inside cupboards but some are free standing and they look neat and tidy.
How about another colour IKEA? At least a black for my garage??
