These lamps can be both general lights and reading lights and can be switched on and off separately.
The uplighter spreads a pleasant light that illuminates the entire room.
You can easily direct the light of the reading lamp where you want it since both the arm and the head are adjustable.
You never have to change a light bulb as this lamp has LED light sources built right into it.
Using LED as a light source means that it not only lasts 20 times longer than an incandescent bulb, but consumes up to 85% less energy.
By dimming the lighting, you change the mood in the room.

To improve the design would it be possible to make the reading light more flexible? ( They can only be positioned on the left of the main structure. )However, I have resolved this small problem by turning 2 of the lights around so that the reading light is correctly positioned. That means the controls are now at the back, not ideal but OK.

It is exactly what I needed for my living room, with good uplighter and reading light, and easy to assemble. However, I was very disappointed that the LEDs appear to be in sealed units and therefore not replaceable. Why make a product that is going to have to be thrown away the minute one tiny part needs changing. This should not be allowed.
All good EXCEPT...Anonymous reviewerThe light and the design are excellent but we are disappointed that the wire to the plug, and the plug, are black. White would have been preferable. Also, the wire comes out of the plug upwards rather than as usual in the UK, downwards to the floor.
