The food container is made of oven-safe glass and can be used as an oven/serving dish.
The lid creates a vacuum when placed on a container ‒ keeping the food fresh longer and helping the food retain both heat and coolness.
The lid can be used to protect from splatter in the oven and the microwave.
Wash the lid in the dishwasher and use it again and again, as this helps you reduce the amount of plastic and aluminium foil you use.
The container is made of glass, which does not absorb odours or discolour from tomato sauce, etc, so the food container is easy to clean.

Yes, the top is plastic — can be used in the microwave, but the glass is what touches the food. PS: Feedback: total of 3 separate staff members weren’t particularly helpful when I looked for the tops for the next size up container along with two others looking for the same. Frustrating. Will try again another time.

Labels on lids are infuriatingAnonymous reviewerThis is a great product at a good price. Annoyingly, though, the product labels on the lids (sold separately) leave a gummy residue that is almost impossible to remove. I've used washing up liquid, lighter fluid (a good solvent), vinegar, and scrubbing. None of them completely removes the tackiness. It's a silly oversight that spoils an otherwise excellent product.

Small but perfectly formedAnonymous reviewerI bought two of these containers specifically so that I can use them in my small air fryer. They are stated to be oven proof (in addition to microwave and dishwasher safe) so I am hoping they will withstand a temperature of 180°C. I haven't used them yet, so I can't attest to their oven proof qualities, but they are a neat size and wash well by hand.
