I still keep some plants and seedlings indoors at night (11C - 13C), so this assembly I hoped to help with that, and with protecting from heavy rain the sensitive plants.
Being made of metal, during spring and summer days, if the structure catches the direct sunlight, even the 8am sun, it will heat. A lot. So best to have that in mind when you plan. However, this might actually help in November and during the winter months. Would I buy again? I'll give it a winter also before deciding.4
Not sureAnonymous reviewerI choose this as thought it would last longer than the aluminium pole type version of a small greenhouse. I’m not sure if it is better so far, it’s smaller and would be harder to take down. The cover seems less sturdy. It is a bit annoying to put up and to start with the holes don’t line up, but as other reviews have said you just have to keep going and it all comes together in the end. 3

Great mini greenhouseAnonymous reviewerOne of Ikeas great products. With cover it is a solid well thought out design for the price. Easy to build - even if only a small part of screw hole shows in some joints just point screw into it and it will gently pull the joint together and straighten automatically. Wonderful small efficient vented greenhouse in spring with option of open shelving in summer. Galvanised so slug are not so keen on climbing over it. Really pleased with the space saving solution this provides for seedlings and salad vegetables all summer long.5

For Starter Seedlings Anonymous reviewerI purchased this to hold my starter seedlings before transferring to my greenhouse. The cover will be beneficial when heating is off overnight. My son put it together for me, took him 20 minutes. Perfect for what I need and quite sturdy.4
Excellent shelving.Anonymous reviewerI purchased another one for my summerhouse. I already have 7 of these metal units. 4 in my shed, one in my conservatory with plants on. If you turn the trays upside down n seal the corners they make excellent drip trays for plants n seedlings, and two outside holding old plant pots and bulbs etc. I cover with plastic during winter to store plants too. All still in good condition 18 years on. New one came in a cardboard box with simple instructions for construction. One screwdriver later and about half hour I have my shelves in place holding all the outdoor toys. Box rolled up and in the bin.

Great shelving planterAnonymous reviewerOnce assembled, great. Very pleased. I strayed from the instructions to make putting it together easier: where you see any holes aligned up, just tighten the screws as tight as possible, and most of the other holes will fit into place. Those remaining that don't, just nudge them into place with a (if desired, padded) hammer. Simples! The hammer came in handy for the feet as well. A lot of banging to please the neighbours!5
Shock! ( A nice one)Anonymous reviewerWhen I opened the packaging I was amazed at the quality! Galvanised steel. Not the plastic frames I was expecting . Even the cover was strong not the usual flimsy clear ones that hardly last the season. One tiny problem when assembling the screws were difficult to get in. This was not because they were in the wrong place but because the folded metal needed a tweak with some pliers, it did the trick. All in all a fantastic purchase I shall be looking at ikea for more in the future.5
Very poor. Not up to IKEA's normal high standardAnonymous reviewerI have made numerous items of Ikea furniture in the past without difficulty. Indeed have been a great admirer of Ikea methodology for self assembly and religiously follow the diagrams for construction. But this product was altogether different. Diagrams are unrealistic as it is impossible to balance pieces in the way shown while fitting them together. Might be easier if one had two pairs of hands but I only have one. Fitting one section to another unremittingly difficult, sometimes impossible, as screw holes of one section do not match those on the section to be attached to it. And this happens over and over again. The screws are small and fiddly to handle. The plastic feet do not stay on and should to have a far sturdier method of attachment. I challenge IKEA top management to take one of these home for a weekend leisure time project to make one as a normal customer would. And when you have done this you might like to refund my money. 1

PerfectAnonymous reviewerI already have one of these shelves without the cover and it is so strong and hardwearing! The cover is the perfect addition and turns a shelf into a mini greenhouse. My plants love it and I will be buying many more!5
