The cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.The cover has a lightfastness level of 6 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

The only disappointment so far is that the cane binding wrapped around one of the legs has split after about 3 months of use and will gradually unravel if left. We need to find a way of gluing it with a strong adhesive which is a pain considering its price.4

A really lovely chair but with one thing missing!Anonymous reviewerI recently purched a chair and its cushions because I need a more upright chair than our Poangs because of a hip problem. Generally I am delighted with the chair, but feel one addition to the design would make it even better. The seat cushion has a tendency to slip forward, which makes the back cushion drop down. We have now attached some velcro under the seat cushion (rather as the Poangs have) and the problen is solved! It's a really good chair for someone who needs to sit on something comfortable, but a bit more upright.4
Very comfy but no cushion coloursAnonymous reviewerI've bought many items from Ikea recently for my refurbished home and i really like this chair. I tried it several times in-store recently and found it really comfortable with the cushions. I'm not sure why any one would buy one without the cushions, but with the cushions it has two major let-downs for me: first, the addition of the cushion set pushes the price beyond what I would be willing to pay. Second, there's no choice...it's either the light/beige colour or nothing. This lack of choice in cushion covers surprises me...that alone should reduce the price. If you're listening, Ikea, a nice forest green cushion set and a lower price might encourage me to buy two of these chairs!4
