The fabric gives very good protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 25+, which means it blocks 96% of the ultraviolet radiation.
The parasol pole is made of aluminium which means it won’t rust.
It’s easy to keep the canopy clean and fresh since you can easily remove and machine wash it.
It’s easy to open and close the parasol by pulling the handle up or down. The parasol automatically locks in open position.
The air vent reduces wind pressure and allows heat to circulate.
The hook-and-loop strap keeps the fabric in place when folded.
Parasol base is sold separately.
Fits into IGGÖN parasol base with sandbags.
May be completed with TOSTERÖ parasol cover (160 cm).
The parasol does not provide protection against reflected or scattered solar ultraviolet radiation.

Wipe clean with a mild soapy solution.
Machine wash, max 40°C, normal process.

The best way to extend the life of your parasol is by cleaning it regularly, protecting it with a cover whenever not in use and storing it in a cool, dry place indoors when the season is over.
Always fold the parasol when not in use and never use it when it is windy.

HOGON Very Pale Grey ParasolAnonymous reviewerThis is a descent enough parasol for the money. The tension mechanism for holding it up looks like it will last a long time unlike the cheap and nasty catches or pulley systems on much of the competition. It does take some strength to push into place though, especially if mounted in a table.
However I have deducted a couple of stars because it is mis-advertised. It looks nothing like the image on the IKEA website. Rather than a tasteful dark grey, it is an alarmingly pale grey, paler than concrete. The material is at least decently thick so it does block the Sun but it's not the look we were hoping for.3
