Product details

The sturdy solid pine frame has natural variations in grain, colour and texture, giving every piece a unique look. And it has been stained and lacquered making it more durable and easy to care for.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

Beautiful craftsmanship all the way around. Why not place it in the middle of the room to create impact?

There’s plenty of space under the bed for storage boxes – great for stowing extra duvets and sheets.

The high footboard keeps bed textiles from falling onto the floor while you sleep.

Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.

LÖNSET slatted bed base with curved slats and comfort zones helps keep your spine aligned, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.

Slats do not fit securely on the bed frame.Anonymous reviewerHi, The bed looks lovely. However, the two sets if single bed slats supplied do not fit securely and are a nightmare when making the bed. The slightest movement of the mattress to change the sheet risks sending the slats onto the floor. Should it not be a single set of slats wide enough to fit the double bed? Or if it has to be two single rows of slats, there should be a more secure way of fitting them.1

It is very heavy so if you are planning to store anything underneath worth bearing in mind as incredibly difficult to lift alone! Great bed overall, very solid! 5

Great aesthetically but need to replace because of the creaking Anonymous reviewerI've gone round and tightened all of the fittings on this bed as per the instructions, I've levelled it as best I could but I can't stop it creaking. The worst part is the foot piece of the bed which had already come preassembled. It's really been impacting on our sleep the past few weeks so we will most likely need to get a different frame altogether 3
Difficult to put together, strong smellAnonymous reviewerThis was horrendous to assemble. It took me and my partner the whole day. Some of the screws provided were impossible to screw in without a drill/electric screw driver. We had to go buy different screws so that we could finish assembling the bed. Furthermore the wood has a very strong chemical smell, despite wiping it multiple times.2

Rock SolidAnonymous reviewerWe are in our 70s. We took our time putting it together, exactly to the instructions. It wasn't a mental or physical challenge. It is absolutely rock solid 6 months later. Coupled with a higher end Ikea mattress and topper it's the most comfortable bed we have had. We saved £100s compared to the alternative we were considering and prefer the look of Hemnes. We were slightly concerned after reading some of the reviews but very glad we backed ourselves to assemble it. Really appreciated delivery of bed and mattress to the second floor of our terrace house!5

Cute but annoyingAnonymous reviewerI’ve had this bed for around about a year and a half and it’s so annoying!! Don’t get me wrong the bed is very pretty and stylish however it’s not worth it. I’ve got many products from ikea and never had many issues until I got this bed. It was great for the first few months until the bed started squeaking and yes tightening the bolts do fix the noise but only for about a week, then it’s starts screaming at me in my sleep again. Then I started to notice the bed slats becoming loose and began falling through the frame. They slide around everywhere. Not to mention when we built the bed there was screws that physically didn’t fit into the cut out holes in the metal frame so they have never been fully screws in even with the help of a drill. Now every now an then I find screws on the floor coming from the bed I’m waiting for the night I fall through the bed at this point.2
