The simple, oversized metal shape is inspired by old lamps from places like factories and theatres. Used together, HEKTAR lamps support different activities and create a unified, rustic look in the room.

You can switch each of the lamp heads on or off individually and direct the lights wherever you want so that you can, for example, use one as an uplight and the others for reading.

Did last not long - buyer bewareAnonymous reviewerI bought this lamp less than two years ago. The middle lamp socket appears to be defective and has stopped working. Because of the way the lamp is wired IKEA cannot send a replacement part and because this happened after one year (but after less than two) IKEA will not refund the money. It’s expensive for what it is and for what little time it has worked.2

Larger than expected, no master switchAnonymous reviewerOverall good, but a few unexpected surprises: - For the price, I expected a simple master switch for turning all lamps on/off; instead you have to turn each lamp on/off individually so make sure to place the lamp where the heads are easily accessible by hand - Lamp heads are quite large, ~16cm in diameter each - Dials for adjusting the angle and tilt of each lamp head look identical, so there's a tiny bit of trial and error when making adjustments For whomever it may help: 2.2W bulbs, which IKEA was recommending as of two weeks ago, were too dim for lighting our small living room (13.44m²). The lamp supports up to 8.5W.4

“When I designed HEKTAR spotlight I was so inspired by the look that I designed a few more lamps. I was inspired by old factories and wanted to bring that feeling into the home. The large lamp shades in metal are contrasted by a glossy cream-coloured lining inside. This, together with the large details, is what creates the industrial feeling. Thanks to the large shades and light lining HEKTAR gives very good light, and a lot of it."
