When will this item be back in stock Anonymous reviewerItem lovely would like to know when it will be back in stock ??5
Not great Anonymous reviewerGot this as a cheap pull out the mattress is a mat and offers no padding you have to lift the mat fully off to fold out or put away which is a pain since I have to put so much padding on it to make it bearable I am now having to buy an actual sofa bed mattress to cover it so would have been as well spending the extra cash on a better sofa bed quite disappointing when on a tight budget.2
Sofa bedAnonymous reviewerHad for 3 months and used for my kids friends when the have sleepovers looks stylish, easy to assemble, and so quick to make up for sudden change of plans.5
Good but uncomfortable Anonymous reviewerNot very comfortable, very thin top3
UncomfortableAnonymous reviewerCheap is the only advantage. Useless because sleeping is a pain. Even literally, as designed carelessly with metal bars pressing your body. As a settee same thing comparable with an outdoor park bench.
Don't lose your money.1
Great value for moneyAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble.
Comfortable enough for our spare bedroom. We mainly use as a chair and have added a memory foam mattress, duvet cover, pillows and cushions which make it very comfortable. It has not been slept on yet so can not comment on comfortableness as a bed.
Would recommend for low usage. 5
Good for the unexpected guest, easy to set-up & take down. Anonymous reviewerSome padding would be welcome, rather than the basic covering. Or, recommend a futon type cushion to complement the basic frame. 4
Frustrating to assembleAnonymous reviewerI consider myself good at following directions and assembling things but this has been the most frustrating thing to assemble, by far. I couldn't get one of the screws to secure the cot to the frame, I just couldn't get it to reach where it would need to screwed into no matter how much I adjust the cot, I just gave up and left it alone. It is, however, the best thing for someone like me who's renting and wants a sofa bed to lounge on during the day and use as a bed for guest/s. It's not expensive, comfortable enough (especially if you buy another mattress to put on top), not that bulky like most sofa beds, easy to move around, has a space at the bottom that can be used as storage and could easily be disassembled if and when I move flats again.4
All the bad reviews are true, but this is still a brilliant sofa-bedAnonymous reviewerI always read the bad reviews first and they mention that this sofa bed is difficult to assemble; very hard and uncomfortable to sit and sleep on; the seat is too deep; the cushion is much too thin; and the assembly instructions are difficult to follow. All these things are true, but this is still an excellent sofa bed for the price. We had a very old IKEA sofa and the wooden frame broke. The dimensions of this new sofa bed are almost identical to the old sofa, so we can use the cushions from the old sofa, which are still in good condition, on this one and it is really comfortable to sit on with a lot of back support. It is compact, solid and easy to convert into a bed. We have not used it as a bed yet, but we will have to do so next week and I will be using a mattress topper as an extra layer to make it more comfortable. For the price, it is a very good purchase and we are delighted. My husband sits on it all the time with the old cushions in place and says it is really comfortable.5
the bed does not unfold correctlyAnonymous reviewerI had someone from 'task-rabbit' put the bed together and the bed does NOT unfold, so, it cannot be used as a bed.
If I try to unfold it, it would break the thin piece of tarpaulin.
Either the guy put it together wrong (unlikely) or the bed has a design flaw, because the way the guy in the video on ikeas website unfolds the bed, simply does not work at all. 2
Comfy and great value for moneyAnonymous reviewerI’ve used this as my main bed for a few months and I’ve found it to be really comfortable. It’s lightweight and therefore easy to move around a room. There’s a good amount of space underneath (my border collie loves to sleep under the bed and she fits perfectly). Fitting the canvas ‘cover’ was a bit tricky but once we worked out a technique it was fine. Overall a great buy.5
Not comfortable, buy if you want an ugly furniture that you will never sit on for more than 15 minutes.Anonymous reviewerNot comfortable, buy if you want an ugly furniture that you will never sit on for more than 15 minutes.1
A terrible purchase.Anonymous reviewerI really regret buying this product. So uncomfortable, in both seat and bed configurations. I slept on it for one night and woke up with numbness in my arm and leg. There is a design flaw where the end of the 'foot' of the bed slams down on the floor at the slightest bit of movement. The mattress/mat it comes with is incredibly thin. I really do wish I hadn't bought this, it was such a waste of money and now I can't even get rid of it because nobody will buy it from me second hand. It'll probably just end up being thrown at the tip.1
Chic double sofa bedAnonymous reviewerThis sofa bed when built is quite chic. The tubular frame and grey fabric look great.
In sofa mode there is plenty space underneath to use as additional storage if required. Great if you want to store bedding or cushions and throws.
As a bed it's a good sized double. The sofa cover doubles as the mattress. To be honest the cover could do with extra filler for comfort, both for seating and sleeping. I suppose that is a lacking due to the price point. Which extremely is reasonable for what is a double sofa bed. That's something that maybe a problem if you prefer a softer mattress. Ofcourse you could add a mattress topper to remedy this. Personally l think a deeper fill to the sofa cover/mattress would be an enhancement to overall comfort.
The height in seat mode could be an issue as it is somewhat on the lower side. Although extra cushion here too would improve this. That said it is comfortable to sit on though.
Great for additional seating and a spare bed too.
Easily make it your own with cushion and throws.
Easily converted from sofa to bed and not to heavy to move.
Once built satisfied with the quality. Instruction for building confusing so take your time and extra pair of hands and eye's a bonus.
Great value excellent design and serves it's purpose.
Four stars for mattress/cover and confusing instructions.4
Brilliant item, but needs to be described as sofa bed frameAnonymous reviewerI was looking for a comfortable, lightweight 2 seat sofa with high back rest for our living room on a very small budget. This was the only one that I found that fitted those requirements.
Needs two people to put it together and a lot of cushions, padding ( mattress toppers, rugs, cushions and throws to make it comfortable but I am so pleased with it. I have the spine and neck support that I require when sitting on it, it's still lightweight to move around and I can stretch across it when lounging in front of tv.
I must stress though that I have added : x2 double mattress toppers, single duvet, and sheets ready for use as a bed, x4 scatter cushions, x2 sheepskin rugs for the metal arm rests and a thick fleece throw over the lot. I haven't yet used it as a bed but I think there is enough padding to prevent the bar from being a problem.
I have arthritis in hands, back and neck problems and the support, easy manoeuvrability of the sofa and lack of difficult to remove sofa cushion covers is so great for me.
It did take awhile to arrange all the above covers and cushions etc to suit my varous ailments but it's so comfortable.
Fiddly to assemble with arthritis in hands but we did it with some swearing5
Amazing Anonymous reviewerWhen i first saw this sofa, I thought i was ugly and it looked uncomfortable, but I gave it a chance and bought it, and that was the best decision ever. This sofa may not look the best, but it’s so easy to decorate to make it look so pretty. It easily converts into a bed, however you will have to put some blankets underneath you to make it comfy to sleep on, but once you’ve done that you can have a great sleep on it. The sofa was easy to assemble and it only took one person to make it. One of the best purchases ever.5
Great itemAnonymous reviewerThis is great, converts easily and is nice and solid doesn’t feel flimsy.5
Worst night sleep of my lifeAnonymous reviewerThe most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Used as emergency sleeping for my myself and my sister and neither of us could walk the next day (we are in our 20s and healthy). It dips in the middle and the mattress is so thin that the under bar dug into me and caused bruises. We have purchased a mattress topper for tonight (costing as much as the bed) and hoping we can walk tomorrow.. please only purchase if you don’t want to have guests staying frequently.1
Love it!Anonymous reviewerA bit fiddly to assemble (did it on my own). One bit I really struggled with. Plenty of YouTube videos showing assembly, which helped.
It's strong, durable and surprisingly comfortable. The mattress/cushion (a lovely grey) is removable and washable. The frame is robust and cannot be scratched by my cat.
Wish I'd bought it ages ago instead of my old sofa (was put off by reviews saying it was uncomfortable - it really isnt!).5
Single most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept onAnonymous reviewerBit of a faff to build, and the mattress supplied is too thin to even be considered a mattress. The metal bars push into your spine if you don't lie in one precise position, and I have taken to sleeping on the floor, as I like being able to walk when I wake up. Not very comfy as a settee either. Perhaps alright in a spare room, as temporary emergency seating, or for relations you don't particularly like to sleep on when they stay over.2
