The lid wouldn't fit as the lid bars and clips did not align until I fitted the LH clip on the right hand dovetail and vice versa. All good now, but it leaves me wondering if I'm incapable of reading simple instructions!4

Hinges are a major design flawAnonymous reviewerWe purchased this bin to go on the kitchen counter top, my neurosparkly daughter had decided to grab food from the current bin so the lid provided some form of barrier. Within a few weeks of using one hinge seperated from the bin and now the other has come away as well meaning you have to lift the lid all the way up to use which was a pain.
The piece that you slide the hinge onto is only glued on and not part of the actual bin which is an immediate week spot. Not the usual quality I have come to expect. This design needs to be changed with the hinges potentially being pushed through from inside the bin or clipped to the upper edge.2
