Good frame, v poor canopyAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately this canopy material is not suitable for its stated purpose even if you follow the revised product guidance IKEA give in response to the numerous other reviews stating this. I have taken great care to remove the canopy before high wind forecasts but the material quickly degrades in sunlight such that it tears even when undoing the Velcro straps to remove the canopy. I’ve tried my own repairs by sewing in reinforcement stronger material but the canopy material was so brittle it would tear where my sewing needle has punctured it. IKEA really need to source a stronger alternative otherwise I’m afraid you will damage your reputation for affordable and reliable products 1

Annual purchase of the canopy Anonymous reviewerIts great until it breaks. It will be broken by the end of the year. The fabric is so cheap and awful, the sun breaks it down so much its so brittle by the end of the season. Ikea needs to sort out the fabric to a less plasticky fabric that is broken down by the sun, which seems obvious for a sun canopy. £20 a year is ok to keep the gazebo as its a nice structure, just need to buys a new canopy each year.1
