So far, so good. Time will tell. Looks great. Anonymous reviewerGood looking tap at a good price. Let’s see if it stands up to wear and tear in a rental property! 5
Great value stylish kitchen mixer tapAnonymous reviewerGreat looking mixer which gives a stainless sink a real lift. Very stylish for the price. Pretty easy to fit, although I needed a set of tap fitting box spanners from Wickes to secure it as I didn't have easy access for the included plastic spanner tool. It remains to be seen how long it will last as the braided tap tail flexible supply pipes are thinner than those on the mixer it replaced. The ends of these pipes screw directly onto your existing screw head isolating valves. Use a couple of turns of PTFE tape on the threads of the isolating valves and there will be no leaks.4
Perfect !Anonymous reviewerThis is our second one of these. Perfect function and proportion. Extremely efficient and stylish.5

Easy home installAnonymous reviewerBought this to replace an old kitchen. I have another of these taps elsewhere already so know it is good value. All the plumbing was in place so it was a very easy installation and the ikea tool makes life easy. Seems well built and good value. 5

Energy and resources

Did you know using water more efficiently can reduce your energy bills and help tackle climate change?

Heating hot water accounts for 25% of home energy usage. Using water efficiently reduces energy bills and ultimately reduces carbon emissions. Look for the unified water label and start making a difference. The label has a clear colour coded system to show how much energy and water the product uses. Green rated products use less than those rated Red. Visit www.uwla.eu to find out more.

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
