Bought againAnonymous reviewerBought this product Again, as was very pleased with the previous mixer tap. There is a difference in operation though. This one is vertical for hot , horizontal for cold . The previous one was vertical for neutral , forward for hot ,backwards for cold. E-mail address for Customers are Not Available for IKEA ,So I couldn't take it further to question the New Operation.4
10 warranty Anonymous reviewerUnfortunately our tap has failed and leaked after 7/8 years sterling service ,this may seem like a moan after such a long time ,but the leak is from a non moving part so surprised it has failed ,quality not up to IKEA standards? 3
Not for the UK market!Anonymous reviewerLovely and high-quality tap, but definitely not designed for the UK market. We are living in a newly built house, but the cold water connection was not compatible, we had to invest an awful lot of money (1.5 GBP) to but a converter. A day delay and very annoying. Not sure who to blame: IKEA for not considering the UK plumbing practices or the UK plumbers for being so off-standard. On top of this, the adjustable wrench is just too small to get a grip on the nuts, so you really need 2 plumber wrenches or 1 wrench and an IKEA jar opener)4
Easy to fit and looks great Anonymous reviewerNice styling useful tap easy to manoeuvre to where the water is needed 5
“Brass” rubs off!Anonymous reviewerBeautiful looking tap. But we’ve only had it installed a few weeks and the brass is already coming off at the top!!!! We don’t use harsh products so are a bit mystified but assume this will happen to other ones so I guess we will have to replace. This will be highly inconvenient as we will need to call out a plumber with all the expense of that involved…. I would say, if you’re going for this one, choose chrome only so that there’s no finish to wear off. We are very very disappointed.1
Poor design and leaks - real wood worktop ruined Anonymous reviewerWhen installed (by Ikea fitters), we found tap does not even reach halfway into our double bowl sink, making rinsing very difficult - nothing about this was mentioned by the Ikea kitchen designers during planning. Worse still, a few years later we find that the tap now leaks upwards from the collar, which resulted in a big overnight leak that soaked and water stained - and therefore ruined - our real wood worktop. Tap now removed and worktop will have to follow. Looks great, but not the best choice for some Ikea sinks. Not a cheap tap either and is unreliable. Can’t recommend. 1

Sustainable life at home

Saving water every time you turn on the tap

All of our kitchen mixer taps save up to 40% water. They have a simple watersaving device that reduces the water flow (but without you noticing any difference).

Energy and resources

Did you know using water more efficiently can reduce your energy bills and help tackle climate change?

Heating hot water accounts for 25% of home energy usage. Using water efficiently reduces energy bills and ultimately reduces carbon emissions. Look for the unified water label and start making a difference. The label has a clear colour coded system to show how much energy and water the product uses. Green rated products use less than those rated Red. Visit www.uwla.eu to find out more.

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
