Not as good as it used to be Anonymous reviewerI had one of these 7 years ago, it was great so decided to buy a new one and I am very disappointed. It's been a couple of months and already there is a dip in the seating area. The cushioning is of very bad quality and do not bounce back and will clearly not last long. I don't recommend it. It might be cheap but for what it is it should be cheaper as it will have to be changed in 1 or 2 years.

In the middle the sofa pad overhangs the front now and when in sofabed mode it has a large then in the middle between the 2 pieces.
Arms having padding moving sideways means that you have the word of the arms.

The base has now lost it’s support and dips after 2 years of using. I would recommend investing in a better quality and more comfortable sofa if you’re wanting to use it daily.
FRIHETEN Sofa-Bed: Great Design, Poor DurabilityAnonymous reviewerI initially really liked the FRIHETEN sofa-bed. For the first couple of years, it was comfortable and practical, especially with the built-in storage compartment. However, after around 2.5 years, the cushions began to sag noticeably. Over time, parts of the foam or stuffing started to fall out, and I found bits of it in the storage compartment. Now, almost 4 years in, one side of the sofa is completely broken—there's a significant dip where I sit, and springs or some internal parts are even sticking out. It's strange because only half the sofa is affected; the other half is still in good shape.
I've been searching for replacement parts but haven't had any luck. Since it feels like half the sofa needs replacing, it's been frustrating trying to fix it. While the design and versatility were great in the beginning, the durability has really let me down.
Overall, 2 stars. It's a good-looking sofa that serves its purpose well initially, but its longevity leaves much to be desired.
Fabric pilling terribleAnonymous reviewerWe bought this sofa in a woven fabric about 4 years ago and within 6 month the top was covered in pilling. I had to use a machine to remove them. Have to do this regularly and fabric has lost its shape. Not holding up to the 35000 abrasions for sure. The sofa is very firm so not very comfy to sit on for a long period of time but holding up well for a bed.
Perfect solution for bedroom workroom. Anonymous reviewerWe needed an occasional bed but a comfortable sitting area in the spare bedroom. This is it. Very comfortable 3 person sofa quickly converts to a double bed with storage underneath.
WARNING. This arrives in 2 boxes and both are very heavy.
Take the option of having it delivered to the room of your choice especially as it is likely to be upstairs.
Construction and instructions were straight forward.
But again the components are heavy to handle. Thus the 3 stars for that section below.
The positive of that is it is a substantial piece of furniture and well engineered. Changing from bed to sofa is straightforward. Very happy with purchase and recommend.

Awful- don’t buy it!!Anonymous reviewerWe bought this sofa for our holiday home in Spain in July 2016. The faux leather has totally disintegrated from both the seat and back cushions. It began to peel almost immediately and it has now totally disintegrated. It has only had light use, plus the pandemic prevented us from visiting our holiday home for almost 2 years. I wasn’t too worried though as we knew it was guaranteed for 10 years. But no! The cover is not covered, only the frame! Do not buy this sofa!!!
