loss of qualityAnonymous reviewerThis is the 2nd one of these I have bought in 5 yrs. The first one was excellent.
With my recent buy:
1. One of the 3 cushions has a different filling to the other two and is therefore a different consistency
2. The extra 2 side cushions no longer available. Instead you have to buy a long cushion which with the mattress topper is not very comfortable.
3. The pre drilled holes for the wheel screws are poorly done.
4. The bases of the sofa when extended do not line up perfectly as they did
5. The base of the bed when extended is not perfectly flat as it used to be.
All I can assume is that the supplier has changed and/or quality control has been reduced.
If it were not for the hassle of returning such a large item(and the cost) I would have returned it.
Ikea's quality seems to be deteriorating. A great shame as they were my go to shop- no longer.1
Not comfy Anonymous reviewerWhen you sit on this couch in ikea it feels rather comfy, but when you get it home and are sat on it longer you realise how uncomfortable it is, you constantly have to move every 5 mins to stop places going numb, so it's not comfy as a bed either, the pullout bit isn't very strong and what looks like foam comes out when you pull it out . The material started going bobbly after about a month or 2.I know this is one of the cheaper couches but you still expect a decent quality.2
Fabric cheapAnonymous reviewerThe size and price of the sofas are reasonable, but the fabric is extremely impractical. It’s almost impossible to clean—even water leaves stains. This is incredibly frustrating, especially because the material feels so thin and delicate that attempting to clean it seems like it could damage the fabric further. Overall, they look decent, but the poor quality of the upholstery really lets me down.2
Not that happyAnonymous reviewerMaterial started to bobble after a week of having it so I bought covers for it elsewhere. The right side of the main structure keeps popping out so I have to kick it back into place. It’s not that comfortable to sleep on. Kept it because it’s for guest. Couldn’t be bothered to return it.2
Friheten sofaAnonymous reviewerThe side pulls off. The foam sinks in.3
Beautiful sofaAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, arrived on time and the colour just looks so posh. Really happy with the purchase.5
Not comfortableAnonymous reviewerThe sofa bed, is not as comfortable as it seems. It's quite hard, after been sat on it for a while, watching a film, you have to reposition yourself a few times, as your backside hurts.
You need to get the mattress topper and the cover(witch you have to pay for separately) to make it look better and it's used as another cushion, but needed for when you sleeping on the sofa. When you open the sofa bed, be aware it's really delicate and can break easily, it's not comfortable to sleep without the mattress topper, you have some parts really hard and it hurts because it digs into your body.3
Cheap materialAnonymous reviewerThe material is already starting to bobble 2 months in. Its a cheap sofa but would expect material to be more durable than that. Otherwise a solid sofa bed, comfort is okay.3
Functional Anonymous reviewerThis sofa bed from IKEA is incredibly comfy and instantly changes the look of a living room. It’s perfect for chilling during the day and just as practical when you need a bed option5
FantasticAnonymous reviewerWe went to the store to check how comfortable this settee would be.
when it arrived it took some time to put it all together, but once this has been done it’s so comfortable , that I actually fall asleep on it which has never happened before even the dogs love it great purchase 👍5
Pretty! I just wish the bed was more stableAnonymous reviewerI love this sofa! But when it is in bed mode the structure extra that makes the sofa a bed comes out. The color is stunning and it is very comfortable4
This sofa lasts!! Anonymous reviewerI bought one of these sofas about 10/11 years ago, we used it all the time, we even had to use for a bed for a few years. The padding did get a little thin in places and could feel the wood frame. But stracturely it was still solid. I did plump out the cushions a bit more with pillows because they went a little flat. Overall it was a great solid, firm sofa that is very practical. We had a massive house fire and lost everything, so we needed a new sofa, we looked everywhere and we ended up getting the same sofa because we liked it so much and lasted such a long time and it's great value for money even with the price increase from the first time buying it. We are thinking about buying another one so we have 2 sofabeds in the front room, great for movie night. Only thing I wish is that the sofa would come with 2 extra cushions for the side, I was able to buy extra cushions years ago but IKEA only sell long cushion now which I don't like. 5
Good for the moneyAnonymous reviewerOk so, we got this sofa 4 years ago now. Living situation means our living room doubles up as a living room and bedroom. Being a family home, and the fact we also work from home too, this sofa is sat on most of the day and then slept on every night. its had a lot of use for a £600 sofa you dont expect much. Ok its not the type of sofa you sink into but plenty of extra scatter cushions helps with comfort. Its starting to show some ware now but only where the chaise longue meets the sofa it dips in and you can feel the wood when sleeping. Last year we got a thicker matress topper and it helped but a year later it needed something else so we just purchased a 5cm thick memory foam topper and now its like a new bed again. Im a bit overweight too so i think given that as a factor and the fact the sofa is so cheap you cant actually complain. I would just say the only thing could be improved is maybe making it removable bottom cushions so they can be restuffed.4
After 10 years still amazing condition! Anonymous reviewerSo the time has come to change our beloved sofa. We’ve had it 10 years and it’s still looks hardly worn. We’ve moved a need an upgrade! Perfect for families and guests. It will be missed 5
Superb buyAnonymous reviewerI absolutely love this sofa and would happily buy it again. Fantastic quality5
Solid corner sofa bedAnonymous reviewerThis is one of the best furniture you could buy. Solid, classy and comfortable. Can be easily assembled with the L-shape on the left or right. Ticks all the boxes. Comfotable as a sofa and relaxing as a bed. Kudos to ikea. I would give this 10 stars.5
Fantastic Sofa Bed With Long WarrantyAnonymous reviewerThis sofa bed has been an excellent buy.
We needed a sofa bed that wouldn’t break the bank but was also sturdy enough to be used everyday.
This sofa bed fits that bill perfectly. Its material is hard wearing and easy to clean, the storage space easily fits our thick mattress topper/bedding/pillows/extra blankets. The pull out design is simple and takes no effort at all to use.
The seat base of the sofa is hard, for me this is a plus as I have been suffering from sciatica, for those looking for a seat base that is soft you really want to be looking for something else, however my wife and kids aged 15/12/7 and 3 have never complained.
One of the winning reasons for purchasing this sofa bed was the 10 year warranty.5
Sofa bedAnonymous reviewerI love my new sofa bed. It is very very comfortable. I am happy i chosed this one and not the leather one. 5
Space saving multi useAnonymous reviewerMulti use product fits on the corner of the room and gives elegant look. Given it's multi purpose , to use trundle covering the sofa onto bed swiftly. Recommended product. Price wise felt it's bit high.4
Uncomfortable Anonymous reviewerIf you want to break your back, or start visiting a chiropractor, I can recommend this sofabed as a great start point to prepare you for the experience.
Bought this sofa in 2017, label said it was made in Poland - it was super comfortable, which was great, bc I paid for it around £400 back then. I sold it 1.5 years later and in 2023 bought one again for £600, label says “made in Bulgaria”. Idk if they follow different standards in both production places, but this time the sofa is sooo uncomfortable, its ridiculous. I regret buying it.
It's not suitable to chill on the sofa to watch a
Movie without developing aches. Sleeping on it is just another level of uncomfortable.2
