Fridhult hard Anonymous revieweri bought this for a spare room to be used with limited space
The size was perfect but the sofa is very uncomfortable to sit on and even worse to sleep on , i may have just laid on the floor
poor design and comfort won’t be used for sleeping anytime soon 1
Works as designatedAnonymous reviewerPerfect size sofa bed for a small office/guest bedroom. The armrests are not the best but with pillows it's not an issue. Works well as a small double bed for guests, for extra softness we got a mattress topper and is quite comfy. For the price paid, it's excellent.5
Unusable as a Bed, Frustrating as a SofaAnonymous reviewerI bought this sofa bed thinking it would be a decent option for occasional use, but it's been a big letdown. It's extremely uncomfortable to sleep on — there's a wooden plinth underneath that digs into your back, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. I even tried adding a mattress topper, but it didn’t help at all.
As a sofa, it's not much better. The back cushions constantly slide forward, which is really frustrating. Overall, it's poorly designed and not worth the money if you're hoping to use it as a functional bed or a comfortable sofa.1
Great SofaAnonymous reviewerLove everything about this sofa, perfect combination of look and comfort, lovely colour and easy to keep it clean, love it!5
Nice little sofa bedAnonymous reviewerLooks really good. Very easy to put together. It is a low seat. But very comfortable and squishy.
Easy to raise if you want to add 7-10cm to the high with block chair raiser. But need to remove them if you want to use as sofa bed for the night.
In short. Lovely little sofa 5
FridhultAnonymous reviewerThis is a brilliant small sofa bed ideal for little visitors ( grandchildren ) to stay overnight & sleep in our study 📚 5
Ideal for small places, but...Anonymous reviewerThe seating cushion keeps moving forward., creating a gap at the back where the back cushions fall into. Velcro might have helped keeping is all sealed. I've noticed I'm getting a ditch where I sit, and I've only had this sofa for few months. Also the cushion padding have developed an L shape: thin at the top thick at the bottom. I can't straighten them back up. Overall my teen loves it I think it needs to be stiffer for long term wear and tear. I have not used it as a bed yet.3
Worse Design from IkeaAnonymous reviewerReally nice size and style for my room however : There is a wooden plinth where your shoulders are if you were to sleep on it.. Surely someone must have tested this before it went on sale. 1
Worst of both worlds Anonymous reviewerWe regret this purchase so much. It's so uncomfortable to sleep on with only 2/3 padded the final third is just unpadded wooden box. You have to remove the sofa feet to sleep else the hard wooden third is higher than the rest of the bed. Sofa itself is small with rubbish arm rests which would be fine if it at least folded out into fully padded bed.1
Fridhult sofa bedAnonymous reviewerOverall it’s not bad. There could definitely be a benefit to some cushioning in the arms and the base but it does what it is designed to do3
Very happy.Anonymous reviewerVery happy with this small sofa bed.
Bought for my teenage daughter's bedroom and its perfect for what we want- somewhere to sit and occasional sleepovers.
Yes, the bottom cushion is harder than the first two when pulled out as a bed, but as that's the bottom of the chair I expected it. It is padded so isn't rock hard and as long as feet go at that end there shouldn't be a problem.
Very easy to assemble. My daughter and I did it in approx 15 minutes.
Delivery guys friendly and helpful.
High delivery fees compared to other retailers.5
Bad designAnonymous reviewer"Maximising the sleeping surface" but only 2 foams with a barely padded hard wood base for your feet. As a sofa it's too short with the side supports having barely any padding too. For the astronomical price you can get much better sofa beds. 1
bad bedAnonymous reviewerYou get what you pay for I guess. As a sofa it's fine, but as a bed, it's not really fit for purpose.
When unfolded, there are three sections to sleep on, but only 2 of them are foam, i.e. comfy. The last 3rd (which the picture in the instructions suggests is for your legs) is completely unpadded - basically a board covered with fabric!
The other drawback as a bed is that this 'board third' section is stitched to the frame at the top, so there is no space down the sides to put a fitted sheet on. I guess you'd have to lie on a flat sheet (and wake up with it twisted round you in the morning!) or use a sleeping bag...
Overall, as a bed, this shouldn't really be used as anything more than an emergency sleepover solution for the friend or relative you don't really like.2
