The inner cushion may have a slight natural smell from the down and feathers. It’s harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing it and drying it thoroughly in a dryer helps the smell fade faster.

The outer material is fine, but the amount of feather stuffing is way less than the previous ones and as a result they go completely flat. Item has changedAnonymous reviewerI used to purchase these on a regular basis. They had the grey cover. Now they have a white cover and the cover of the cushion is no longer 100% cotton. It is made with 65% cotton and 35% modacrylic which give its an institutionalised plastic feel and not as comfortable as before. I still had one of the grey cover ones wrapped and there is a big difference. Also not sure if it is the fibres but my partner developed a rashed

Solved the problem by squezzing in another inner (the much thinner synthetic filled "Inner"). The two togeher result in a good looking, usable cushion.
