Reversible back cushions filled with polyester fibres provide soft support for your back and two different sides to wear.
Seat cushions filled with high resilience foam and polyester fibre wadding give comfortable support for your body, and easily regain their shape when you get up.
Hakebo cover feels soft and smooth and has a nice texture that makes the sofa comfortable and inviting.
You can choose from many different covers and find one that you like and suits your home.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and machine washable.

The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.The cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

However the quality of the fabric used on the seating is thicker.
We bought this directly online and didn’t expect it to be vastly different.

Recommended them to my daughter and she bought one as well - unfortunately her sofa cover is much poorer quality than mine even though they were purchased a few months apart. It looks like IKEA are cutting corners by using cheaper material - really disappointing

Perfect sofa if you have kids/teens/dogsAnonymous reviewerAfter having gone through several more expensive and more chic sofas we bought a dark grey three seater, should have got one years ago.
It’s comfy, it’s properly washable, the covers go back on easily after many washes. The grandparents can get out of it.
Seat cushions have taken a bit of a battering where the teen likes to thrown them selfs on it horizontally, so they need rotated a bit.
3 seater with comfortably fit one small horizontal teen with squishmallow as cushion, one small full stretch Labrador and one slightly uncomfortable larger adult.
Arm rest is big enough to precariously balance mug of coffee.
Fits in door of pokey new build.
Bought in 2020, not the same quality, uncomfortable cushions Anonymous reviewerBought our 2nd Ektorp sofa in 2020 during covid. It was a replacement for our old ektorp sofa. Unfortunately the 2nd one is no way as robust or comfortable as the old one wish we hadn't replaced it! Anyway the frame is great solid but the cushions to sit on and at the back are useless. Had to purchase foam to put underneath seats. The cushions lost shape and integrity very quickly. We can no longer sit on it and as its our main seating we are replacing it, its going to recycling not even attempting to re sell it. Our new seating is coming from else where which is a shame as i was a loyal IKea customer.
Long live the EktorpAnonymous reviewerWhat can one really say a well designed and built piece of furniture that has been around for at least the last 20 years ( perhaps IKEA needs to have an Ektorparty) to celebrate 25 years. A fantastic design ikon that has stood the test of time. I wonder if there is a household in the country (Europe) that has not owned one or more? The fact is they are just superb. That said there have been changes , some excellent colours and fabrics by and large have been great, some fade more than others but a cover that lasts 20+ years you can't complain about. Only real issue I have is that the seat covers have a mesh underneath which means I can't reverse them to extend wear and the middle cushion seems to be plump in comparison with the two end ones. And if I am being very honest it would be great to be able to purchase some of the older fabric colours and designs again.

I would recommend buying an extra set of covers though (which I didn’t). It’s in a lovely off white which isn’t available any more. I wonder if this colour will be available in future as I’dlove another three seater?

Good value for money.Anonymous reviewerYou can’t say these aren’t good value for money cause they definitely are. You do get what you pay for though. They are quite comfortable for a while but you find yourself plumping up the cushions quite often. We would still recommend.
