Not fit for purposeAnonymous reviewerAs other reviewers (perhaps writing a review soon after purchase) - Ekoln looks good, nice colours, nice tactile finish - relatively low price. We thought they were ideal, hence buying one for every bathroom.
However as many of the longer-term review states, the 'metal' used is not fit for being a soap dispenser. Soap rusts/reacts badly with the metal spout within 3-6 months. If not n constant use, the next pump of soap comes out 'dirty'. Worse still, it seems standard household liquid soap (we had several of these dispensers, and had filled with soaps from a few brands) just eats away at the tip of the metal completely leaving jagged sharp edges.
IKEA really need to do something about this.

Rust in less than a yearAnonymous reviewerBought in-store in April, by August or so the pump spout has turned black (from internal rust). Had to flush it by pumping more soap than necessary. By November the spout has rusted further and started disintegrating. Not fit as a soap dispenser!

Great quality Anonymous reviewerI have 6 of these in my house (2 in kitchen for soap and washing up liquid. 3 in shower for soap, shampoo and conditioner and then 1 on bathroom sink for soap). All pump well without any issues with corrosion as some are claiming. The pump Works well. No discoloration on any of the colours, including the ones that are 5+ years old. Also get compliments are how nice they look
