Very Tricky Assembly!Anonymous reviewerI have assembled lots of Ikea furniture but Eket was the worst I have encountered for instructions and assembly. Not the usual Ikea assembly method and squaring up the frame wasn’t easy. Easier if assembled on a hard surface rather than carpet and the illustrations needed careful scrutiny to make sure items were assembled in the correct order. Had to use a hammer over a soft cloth to get it right. Would mot buy this again. 3
Very poor qualityAnonymous reviewerPurchased this today and I am shocked at the poor quality and how terrible it is to put this together. When attempting to put the last piece together is doesn't sit flush then started damaging the wood and paint. This new fit and push system doesn't work, would have been so much easier and less damaging with the old screw and lock bolt system. By far the most difficult ikea furniture I've had to build to date. Not worth the money!! 1
Good sizeAnonymous reviewerGood size5
Overall a nice little unitAnonymous reviewerWe have plenty of Kallax in the house, this unit was to replace a tall Kallax with something lower. Putting together, it should be mentioned that to get the corners to line up you will probably need a hammer and pieces of wood to prevent damaging the finish on the unit. It initially would not push into place but with tapping the hammer on to a piece of wood placed over the protruding corner and another thin piece under the opposite corner touching the floor, (we did it on a carpeted surface), it lined up well with no damage at all.5
EKETAnonymous reviewerI brought this to keep grandsons toys in , all so purchased box’s sadly I thought they were the same size as Kallax units but smaller just make sure you check sizes before ordering .5
Great little unit for kidsAnonymous reviewerGreat little unit for kids rooms5
Nice looking unit, less hair after installation.Anonymous reviewerBeing a push fit installation is great for not needing tools, but thyat last piece was a nightmare to get in - Damaged a bit of the unit, but cannot be seen.3

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
