Good bedside table but...Anonymous reviewerGood beside table but its not very sturdy as the 2 cubes are not secured together very well. Didn't use the legs as it seemed more stable without, sitting flat on the floor
Looks great, challenging to buildAnonymous reviewerOnce completed, this cabinet looks fab! But there is a certain order to which sides you put together and at first I didn't get it right but after we worked it out, it was simple. Haven't bothered with the legs, it's the right height without and seems more sturdy.
Our only concern is that the brackets at the back to hold the 2 cubes together are ineffective at best, if you don't move the unit carefully it splits apart at the front. Will have to retrospectively secure it to make it safer for our child
Very poor and a waste of moneyAnonymous reviewerI bought this this week. Read the reviews beforehand that said it was difficult to build, but thought it can’t be that hard. It is awful. Putting it together requires you to bend back boards as to complete the cube not all four of the grooves it fits in can be aligned, and with it being chipboard it breaks, looks scruffy. I was shocked how poor it is. It just doesn’t fit together easily. I’d avoid, I’m extremely annoyed that I didn’t take note of the many reviews that say this. My unit had two cubes. Got one together just, the other one broke whilst applying pressure to try and force it together. WASTE OF MONEY
Terrible.Anonymous reviewerThis is honestly the worst piece of furniture I’ve ever bought and attempted to put together. Avoid at all costs, there is much better options.
Sturdy and really easy to put togetherAnonymous reviewerI don’t understand why people are complaining so much. It’s very obvious all the pieces you need to pick up. It was really easy to assemble and it’s been really durable.
Nice but with caveatsAnonymous reviewerOverall I like this bit of furniture. I see lots of people have complained about the legs but I found this the simplest part of this. If you use a dowel to create the beginning of a screw entry, the screws should go in ok. I found putting the rest of it together a proper fiddle. The instructions & fittings are poor. It does look good once made & its ideal for what I wanted, but it's a real faff.
Looks good but difficut to assembleAnonymous reviewerI found instructions a bit difficult to follow. Usually the Ikea picture instructions are fine, be these - not so much.
The biggest issue is fitting the legs. The diagram makes it look simple, but despite punching holes in the base using the template that was supplied, I found it impossible to get the screws into the unit. Impossible.
I am not weak or feeble but the self tapping screws will not go through the material of this cabinet. I made sure to whack the bradawl several times, but no dice. You need to be Superman to get those screws in!
The bedside cabinet is on the floor with holes in the base, and legs are back in the box.
I will probably try again another day but this time I'll use a very small drill bit to make some holes.
