DYVLINGE swivel easy chair was launched in our 1967 catalogue with the name MILA. Then, just like now, with a sitting position that is naturally relaxing for the entire body.
In the Nytillverkad collection, the easy chair's cross base has 5 legs instead of 4 to minimise the risk of tipping.

The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

Super chairs.Anonymous reviewerWe bought two of these to go in our snug. We have a mid century home and these work beautifully with the scheme. Easy to put together, light weight to move around. The pop of tangerine 🍊 is really uplifting and the fact that they swivel makes them versatile taking up only a small amount of floor space.

The only issue is that we hardly ever get to sit in it because our cat thinks we bought it for him: ideal seat height, nicely shaped seat cushion, backrest for bracing against when grooming, room to sprawl out.

I wanted to love it. Anonymous reviewerOut of the box I noticed the buttons on the backrest were misaligned, however I was willing to overlook this. Two days in with moderate use and the bottom cushion is as flat as a pancake, I only weigh 9 stone - doesn't look like the same chair anymore, very disappointed.

Very stylishAnonymous reviewerI’ve just received this in Orange, it’s definitely more carrot orange than what the photos show as a slightly deeper orange. It’s really easy to assemble and lightweight. I do think it should be priced around £159 mark though.

When Gillis Lundgren was hired in 1953, he became the fourth(!) employee ever at IKEA. At first, he illustrated catalogue covers and photographed products while Ingvar Kamprad wrote texts, but soon he also started designing furniture. His MILA swivel armchair was presented as the "anti-stress armchair" in the 1967 catalogue. A big success that has now been given new life with the name DYVLINGE in the Nytillverkad collection.
