"Almond Paste"?Anonymous reviewerThis item doesn't taste of almonds / marzipan. It tastes of an artificial alcoholic spirit, is very grainy (not smooth). It's only redeeming feature is the presentation. Disappointed!
Bought today, thrown straight in the bin.Anonymous reviewerThese are not the quality maripan cakes I was expecting. As previously recent reviews have mentioned, these are sickly sweet, the chocolate is tasteless, the almond is missing, there is an overpowering fake alcoholic taste. Horrible, they're in the dustbin. Two packs were bought in-store, what a waste of money. I suggest this product is withdrawn from sale.
Nowhere near as good as they used to beAnonymous reviewerMy family used to love these, they were rich with a good texture and not too sweet. We would buy lots of them at every visit, and they would be eaten quickly. Now, since the packaging has changed, nobody at home bothers with them any more. They just don't taste the same. They are a bit too sweet now with a grainy texture and with none of the richness they used to have. Such a shame.

The taste of SwedenAnonymous reviewerNever mind meatballs, pickled or smoked fish, even surströmming - this is the real taste of Sweden. This marzipan, chocolate and nutty delight is the most evocative taste of Sweden. With a black coffee I’m whisked back to a cabin next to a lake surrounded by a pine forest. The flavours are rich making the size perfect. Fantastic!
