Tip for assembly. My 13 year old attached the 6 diamond shaped pieces to the base hooks. Then inserted the opposite two into the top plastic ring. She then placed the large hexagonal over the two diamonds. Click. She then went round inserting the rest of the diamonds into the top ring from inside the hexagonal. Slight tension with them as you’d expect. Once they were done she slid over the smaller hexagonal. Watch your fingers. Took her less than five minutes. Easy she said.

These shades are easy to assemble and go together well. There seems to be a bit of knack of twisting when attaching to the ring fixing, this then pops into place.. it almost seems like the pins are going in to far and weakening the plastic then clicks.
I hope this may help others struggling.

However, having said that... ONCE you have rubix-cubed this nightmare item into the required shape, it is delightful, and insanely good value. Just make sure you enjoy solving complex puzzles before purchasing!

Then we used blu tack to hold the ring in place while we secured the side pieces. It took us about 10 minutes to build then. Pleased with the outcome, but nearly considered sending it back Don’t give up

Bought 4 and all have broken with three separate people trying to assemble them and failed. Don’t bother buying these they are cheap for a reason. Might as well of tried to build it out of spaghetti. So lovely, but...Anonymous reviewerI bought 2 of these light shades for my stairs and hallway. They are really lovely once put together, but they really are hard work to assemble! Took waaaay longer than necessary and you definitely need two people to assemble it as it falls apart once you let go of each side when putting it together. It was definitely a test of patience!

Brunsta light fittingAnonymous reviewerDon't purchase these light shades. They are rubbish. I ordered 3. One was faulty. They also have a tendency to explode and re-flatpack themselves after you've put them together. Also was impossible to return the item since the original parcel dimensions were larger than the free return service dimensions. I'm left with a pile of junk that I can't return.... ANGRY!
