The work bench with drawers is made from steel with a pine plywood worktop, which gives it a robust feel and a hardwearing surface that is easy to clean and will last for years.

The drawers have pull-out stops to keep them in place.

Nice but flawedAnonymous reviewerI bought this for garage storage of tools. I liked the deep storage, so using plastic tubs i could store far more than a traditional mechanics tool chest. The work top allows the fixing of things such as clamp vice. An application of PU will make it last a lot longer. Having said that it can be replaced very easily too. The unit has one flaw which the large gap in-between drawers. It allows dust to ingress. This problem is made even worse using the top to work on - for example sanding. Unfortunately after only a few months my tools were covered in dust. This unit is really only for internal use or away from even a modest dusty environment. 3

Solid but flawedAnonymous reviewerThis is a well constructed garage-type set of steel drawers. It has one major flaw which is that the drawers don't pull out far enough to see what's at the back. As the whole thing is painted black you will undoubtedly lose things in it. I have done. Not recommended.3
Frustrating to set up - not machined to exact measurements so very fiddlyAnonymous reviewerThis is perhaps the most frustrated I've been with any IKEA setup. It is definitely a two person job as the holes just don't align and you need someone to hold the legs while you fiddle around trying to thread a screw. The problem is the parts are relatively low quality and it's apparent that it hasn't been machined precisely so there is some leeway with where the holes are.3
a great storage chest Anonymous reviewera little fiddly to put together, but then again i only glanced at the instructions- NOTE there are 2 nut sizes... luckily one set has some lock thread(blue stuff) on it. great fun to also make your wife assist and learn how to build stuff5
