Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Makes all the differenceAnonymous reviewerI have two Besta units which I originally ordered without the glass panels, but the finish on the bare unit is quite easy to scratch, so I decided to invest in the glass. And I'm SO glad I did! It's black, so luckily I didn't have to worry about being able to see speck or bits that got stuck under it while I was placing it on top of the units, and once it was in place, I couldn't believe the difference it's made to the entire look of the units. Really pleased I made the effort to get it! I'd highly recommend it, not only for the look, but as protection for your unit top.
Top tip that I stole from another reviewer on here! Once you've put the sticky pads on your unit top, place a strip of cardboard, which is thicker than the sticky pad, next to them on the unit top. Leave enough cardboard so that you can pull it out from under the glass.
Place the glass on the unit top, on top of the cardboard. Shuffle it into place, then slide the cardboard out and stick the glass down hard.

Double check the glass before positioning the fixers Anonymous reviewerWe put the sticky fixers on the glass then noticed a black dot on the glass. Thinking it was something under the glass I tried to lift it and it brought with it some of the top of the unit. These fixers are obviouly far too strong if they can take the top of the mdf off with it.

Perfect! Anonymous reviewerJust recently purchased the Besta glass top in white/green and on with reading some past reviews was a little sceptical with the colour. I already have the black version which is prefect.
I have a white unit and wanted to top for this. On fitting the glass top , it is not very green as expected it’s normal green tinge glass colour. I can see the white top of the unit through it. It’s just perfect. I am so pleased and fits perfectly.
Tips to perfectly align glass top on your ownAnonymous reviewerEasy way to perfectly align glass on top of cabinet on your own...
1. Stick the adhesive strips onto each corner of the cabinet top around 2 cm from edges and get 2 thickish pieces of cardboard and place them in between the adhesive strips on either side.
2. Peel paper off adhesive strips, then lower the glass panel in place and make your adjustments until it's perfectly aligned then gently pull out the pieces of cardboard.
Hey Presto! Perfectly aligned glass top without any help! Also, don't remove the sticky plastic film from the underside of glass, I think it's there in case the glass top shatters and it's a nightmare to get off and clean. Just make sure plastic film is the bottom.
