Typically excellent IKEA quality, I have 2 units on top of each other, the doors ARE heavy so I have the top unit attached to the wall. All 4 doors line up perfectly

It was pretty straight forward to put together, yes the doors needed adjusting a few times to line up but that wasn’t a problem and I absolutely love the finished product.

AWFUL FURNITURE TO ASSEMBLE!Anonymous reviewerAside from the fact it was damaged on arrival (noticed only after I had part assembled), it is, quite frankly, the most god awful furniture to assemble that I have ever had the misfortune to do. It doesn't go together AT ALL! At this point I am waiting for a second pair of hands to arrive to try and hold the damn thing together so I can try and get the screw things to turn. Failing that, it will become kindling!
Poor quality and disappointing sideboardAnonymous reviewerThe quality and construction of this sideboard was very disappointing. Once built, it was not stable. It shifts left to right and needs heavy contents within the sideboard to ensure the unit doesn't fall over.
I've built a lot of different types of ikea furniture in my time and have found the quality good and straight forward to put together, but this piece felt unnecessarily difficult due to poor quality parts.
I would not recommend buying any of the Besta range for this reason.

especially teamed up with a 120cm black glass besta top panel. and a couple of nice very slim desginer nickle handles I got from ebay.
The only negative is the slight left and right flex when free standing and not fixed to the wall with the top fixings.
It's easy to sort, just glue the back panel into the grooved outside edge at the rear, square it up and leave to set.

All instructions were followed to the letter but we had to buy non Ikea parts to make this unit sturdy. I would expect more from Ikea, really has left a sour taste in my mouth and will make me think twice about being any furniture from you in the future

Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerLike maybe people on here, poor quality, and wobbles. If I push the end slightly the doors don't line up any more, I have to push the other side to line them up. I've been buying IKEA for years, prices have gone up, quality down. I suspect the cheap plastic fixings have something to do with it. Also some of the screws heads are so cheap they strip easily. I'm disappointed.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
