The shelves are adjustable so you can customise your storage as needed.
You can choose to use either the soft-closing or push-open function. The push-opener lets you open the doors with just a light push, while the soft-closing hinges makes sure they close silently and softly.
Adjustable hinges allow you to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.
Optimise and organise your BESTÅ storage with boxes and inserts that you like.

Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home, sold separately.
If you choose the soft closing function for your BESTÅ, we recommend complementing the fronts with knobs/handles to make the drawers/cabinets more convenient to open.

Must be attached to the wall with your own fixing, this isn’t explicit in the instructions!Anonymous reviewerThe pictorial instructions do not make it clear that you must use your own fixings that go though the top right and top left of each unit, into and through the rear plastic spacer. We used two of our own screws (with plas plugs) of approximately 8-10 cms length per unit. With the top of the unit anchored, they are rock solid…don’t forget to join the units together though!

Make sure you get a professional to assemble and install it though as its complicated and must be secured to the wall to stand up properly. Would highly recommend buy it!
My only thing is its hard to make the doors align properly but its not the end of the world.
Bad quality, don't buyAnonymous reviewerIt looks good in the pictures but this is just bad quality. the two units are actually separate and when assembled it just shows they are separate. The back panel is impossible to fit and even fitted the panels sway from side to side. Very bad, I will ask for a refund
Great when you follow instructionsAnonymous reviewerI usually don't write reviews but this is better then expected. For people saying it's wobbly as its 2 singles put together, yes it is but once you read instructions where it says to screw to a wall it doesn't move... we had to buy extra feet as wanted it level to the wall above the skirting board else sits off the wall.
Worst piece bought from ikeaAnonymous reviewerThis item is not the usual ikea standard. Having bought lots of ikea items over the years this really has disappointed. Follows the instructions and it still sways from side to side. Back panels do nothing. Not worth wasting nearly £300. Would have taken it back if it wasn't over an hour drive to get my money back. Steer clear of this item. Customer service also terrible. Still waiting on them getting back to me

You should not need to rely on the wall behind to stop this unit from swaying to the point of nearly collapsing and breaking. The plastic fittings are very low quality, crack and snap easily, very brittle. IKEA quality has gone down.
Besta?.....Worsta.Anonymous reviewerThe design, size, functuality is all great - I adore it. But the quality? Absolutely dire. It's just junk. I'm keeping it as I've assembled it and I'm going to bolt it to the wall (alot) to try to give it some strength and structure. It's not worth the money or the effort to end up with something so flimsy. Gutted.
Very very flimsyAnonymous reviewerCannot understand why these are so flimsy. They sway from side to side, even when full of shelves. Was expecting the sturdiness of a Billy, but bordering on the dangerous (is it because you don't nail in the back, or that there is no central, crewed in shelf?). As its not stable, the doors do not align either, with the feet bordering on useless and the unit at the whim of the floor.
wonderful shelf wardrobeAnonymous reviewerwonderful solid wardrobe cabinet , exactly what i was looking for and needed. very sturdy and easy to assemble (my partner did it) highly recommend getting a double ( i also got a single for a different room) i recommend highly. have so much stuff in my house and finally have places to store (or hide them!) (bought this item on sale £255 and looked for the cheapest colour)!

Ideal storage solutionAnonymous reviewerWe needed extra storage as we only have a small kitchen, this unit is great, there are a variety of doors, but we went for the plain look. Love these units, easy to assemble ( I've done a few Ikea units and find them straightforward) and look nice where we've put them.
