Not as advertisedAnonymous reviewerI was put off by the initial picture being a single unit.
The instructions for this are really poor as I had to guess where the hinges and spring catch went. There is no room for knuckles when adjusting rear feet with Allen key.
I tried to use the bent metal shelf supports at first but gave up when I realised there were three right hand and one left hand that came in a bag. Fortunately the shelves came with supports.
This was the last of my 5 units I built this week. I built 7 units in Tenerife so am not a novice.
Review the "instructions" as a novice would be returning the packages.
Not one of the pictures on the website depict this as 2 units joined together. I'd assumed it was going to have a thick central piece similar to the 160cm wide drawers we have just had.I1
Not as advertisedAnonymous reviewerI've just opened a package of the 1200 wide unit to find it is one of 2 x 600 units. There appears to be no joining fixings or instructions and a multitude of bad reviews. As I've dismantled what was there before I've got to persevere and build the units.1
Worked wellAnonymous reviewerWorried as some reviewers had trouble, but my son and helper did a good job. All the doors ( and we covered a whole wall in units) line up well and look good. We tried to line up the kind of grain look with the doors below, worked quite well.5
Must be attached to the wall with your own fixing, this isn’t explicit in the instructions!Anonymous reviewerThe pictorial instructions do not make it clear that you must use your own fixings that go though the top right and top left of each unit, into and through the rear plastic spacer. We used two of our own screws (with plas plugs) of approximately 8-10 cms length per unit. With the top of the unit anchored, they are rock solid…don’t forget to join the units together though!5
It's not worth that amountAnonymous reviewerCheep quality and not stable enough plus the doors and The doors do not close and open easily.2
Get someone else to assemble itAnonymous reviewerI could not be happier with this storage unit. Its sleek and feels to be well made. Make sure you get a professional to assemble and install it though as its complicated and must be secured to the wall to stand up properly. Would highly recommend buy it!
My only thing is its hard to make the doors align properly but its not the end of the world.5
Great when you follow instructionsAnonymous reviewerI usually don't write reviews but this is better then expected. For people saying it's wobbly as its 2 singles put together, yes it is but once you read instructions where it says to screw to a wall it doesn't move... we had to buy extra feet as wanted it level to the wall above the skirting board else sits off the wall.5
Worst piece bought from ikeaAnonymous reviewerThis item is not the usual ikea standard. Having bought lots of ikea items over the years this really has disappointed. Follows the instructions and it still sways from side to side. Back panels do nothing. Not worth wasting nearly £300. Would have taken it back if it wasn't over an hour drive to get my money back. Steer clear of this item. Customer service also terrible. Still waiting on them getting back to me1
Very Poor quality storage unit. Sways from side to side.Anonymous reviewerVery Poor quality storage unit. Sways from side to side. You should not need to rely on the wall behind to stop this unit from swaying to the point of nearly collapsing and breaking. The plastic fittings are very low quality, crack and snap easily, very brittle. IKEA quality has gone down. 1
Besta?.....Worsta.Anonymous reviewerThe design, size, functuality is all great - I adore it. But the quality? Absolutely dire. It's just junk. I'm keeping it as I've assembled it and I'm going to bolt it to the wall (alot) to try to give it some strength and structure. It's not worth the money or the effort to end up with something so flimsy. Gutted. 1
Very very flimsyAnonymous reviewerCannot understand why these are so flimsy. They sway from side to side, even when full of shelves. Was expecting the sturdiness of a Billy, but bordering on the dangerous (is it because you don't nail in the back, or that there is no central, crewed in shelf?). As its not stable, the doors do not align either, with the feet bordering on useless and the unit at the whim of the floor.1
wonderful shelf wardrobeAnonymous reviewerwonderful solid wardrobe cabinet , exactly what i was looking for and needed. very sturdy and easy to assemble (my partner did it) highly recommend getting a double ( i also got a single for a different room) i recommend highly. have so much stuff in my house and finally have places to store (or hide them!) (bought this item on sale £255 and looked for the cheapest colour)!5
Lacking qualityAnonymous reviewerThese units are fair from Ikea's usual quality all the panels are hollow filled with cardboard and it's a bit like the old mfi units when assembled not sturdy at all1
happy!!Anonymous reviewerAs always, Ikea delivers! So pleased with my purchase.5
Bests valueAnonymous reviewerAll in good order and easy to assemble. Great value for money.5
Excellent storageAnonymous reviewerBought this piece for storage in spare room. Very easy to put together. Hides so much stuff, really frees up the room. Really pleased with purchase and highly recommend.5
Perfect storageAnonymous reviewerGreat storage Looks clean stylish and very neat Very pleased5
Perfect for storage of bits and bobsAnonymous reviewerThis is the second unit we’ve bought. Quite easy to put together and looks nice with the gloss doors. My only slight moan is that the doors don’t always push closed as they are supposed to.........4
Look good very functional but a little flimsyAnonymous reviewerEasy to put together, had some issues with door closers but in the end worked it out. Is surprisingly light abd I feel it would be easy to damage the shelves, in fact all the panels apart from the door when moved you could hear they are hollow hearing things moving around4
Great lookingAnonymous reviewerLoads of storage great looking5
