Poor instuctionAnonymous reviewerShould provide a better picture for customers to understand
Fits the Besta shallow shelves - simple!Anonymous reviewerThis little shelf does what it is meant to do - the end!
Perfect storage solutionAnonymous reviewerI chose this to go inside besta unit instead of the solid shelf as it takes up less space so gives more storage, even though used behind a cupboard door. Bit more complicated to fit but very secure.
Glass shelves Anonymous reviewerSuperb addition to existing setup in my display unit.
Bookcase shelf Anonymous reviewerBought extra shelf to go on existing Besta bookcase that we bought years
ago. Slight difference to previous colour but can’t really notice once books were added. Very pleased that we were able to still get spare shelf.
Good ShelfAnonymous reviewerGood solid shelf.
Sticker on the glass is absolutely wrong type! Took me 5 times more time to remove it than to install the shelf!Anonymous reviewerI understand cost optimisations and potentially some green policies but how can you put sticker/label on glass shelf which can be removed only with acetone or isopropyl and a lot of hot water which rockets the carbon footprint. It is epic failure that label of IKEA!
Sent damagedAnonymous reviewerOrdered the units and then some extra shelves, every item had turned up with some damage, very disappointing
ALEX is super in buildAnonymous reviewerALEX is super in build and appearance but the instructions are less so - I managed to build it with the drawers upside down! Could have helped to have better sketches and maybe some dimensions too.
It’s a shelf!Anonymous reviewerVery shelfy
Display glass shelvesAnonymous reviewerBrilliant glass shelves, very easy to install and look amazing
Why oh why?Anonymous reviewerWhy did you put low quality, hi-tac, paper stickers on the glass themselves? What did you have in mind? I would love to meet the person who made this decision in person so I can congratulate them for this genius move. Please Ikea, you can do better than that. If you are going to put a sticker on ANY products, please use the plasticky ones which are easy to remove. Your clients will thank you for that!
Great unit looks lovely inAnonymous reviewerGreat unit looks lovely in my lounge
Delighted with itAnonymous reviewerDelighted with it
Basic Besta shelf in matt white.Anonymous reviewerGood basic shelf for the Besta units. The shelf is a basic white shelf. The laminate is well stuck and not peeling off. The only thing I wasn't sure about were the shelf brackets as they didn't quite sit flush vertically once weight was applied. They're the same type as most of this type of cabinet but just didn't feel quite as secure as others I've used.
Just right for kitchen utensilsAnonymous reviewerI'm always amazed at the precise nature of the instructions, follow them and everything fits together simply making a sturdy shelf unit. Delighted
Glass shelfAnonymous reviewerWe bought a few glass shelves and are pleased with them as I’ve mentioned about other items they was a sticker on the packaging and the item not easy to get off there’s no need to put them on the item or at least make them easy peel
Good, but really expensiveAnonymous reviewerThey look and work really well, but for one piece of wood and 4 pins, in shrinkwrap, this is daylight robbery. They should be 2-packs for this price.
Excellent shelfAnonymous reviewerIdeal for putting aour cordless phone on
have lots of itAnonymous reviewerhave used Besta to furnish many rooms and it never fails to please

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
