Reviews

BrilliantAnonymous reviewerI found the unit to be very stable (I have both the 2 door and the 3 door) They’ve held heavy loads too on the shelves with no issues whatsoever.5
Worst item I've ever bought from IkeaAnonymous reviewerThis cabinet is not built with the strength needed to keep its rigidity. It flexes to the point of being wobbly. Having had problems with the hinge screws pulling out from the doors, damaging them, I concluded that this was my fault and ordered more, only for the same to happen again. This cabinet is now scrap without ever having anything put inside it.1
WobblyAnonymous reviewerI wish I'd read the reviews before buying. Although judging by the reply from IKEA to the complaints - there is nothing there appears they are not willing to do anything. The quality of these TV units has plummeted. but 2 cabinets for my TV surround and these cabinets are just cheap crap. They wobble - and so the doors look "out" there's no way to stabilise the cabinets/ Ive had an IKEA TV cabinet 10 years ago - the quality was much better - more sturdy. The quality of a lot of IKEA furniture is poor now. It looks nice - but the quality is terrible. I also have wardrobes that do the same ... WOBBLE when built. Very unsteady 1

Structure is not stable Anonymous reviewerLike many others I have experienced problems with the structural integrity of this unit. When built properly the sides are not held at right angles and it "sags" slightly probably because the panels are not held together strongly enough. You notice this when it comes to putting a door on the front as it looks like the door is not fitted properly, but actually it is just the structure not holding its shape. 3
Looks good but very ricketyAnonymous reviewerThis is not the usual ikea quality you would expect- the outer frame does not sit square and moves from side to side making it very rickety and the doors not being able to align. It looks good but given the weak structure its not usable unless a lot of extra supports are purchased to short up the unit2
Looks smartAnonymous reviewerDifficult to align doors to the case. Otherwise reasonably good product. Wish it was available in gloss4

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
