Reviews

Very disappointed Anonymous reviewerThis item is cheap. Made with cheap materials. Not worth the money. Looks ok though. 3
Sideboard franeAnonymous reviewerWhite gloss. Looks amazing and easy to clean.5
Very disappointingAnonymous reviewerPoor quality, plastic locking nuts that broke, leading to an unstable cupboard. Worst Ikea product I’ve ever bought and if the fixings are chafing to plastic, it may be the last.2
Poor QualityAnonymous reviewerI have got few Besta cabinets in last couple of years. The recent one is awefully bad. The packaging was sturdier than the Besta. This one is simply cardboard coloured black.1
Very disappointing...Anonymous reviewerMy entire house has been furnished with IKEA units - all of them are well-designed, well made and good value. So we bought another unit, a Besta four door cabinet, but this time it seemed "different"... It is definitely made more cheaply. I first noticed the poor finish, which is "thinner"/less substatial/less hardwearing than our older units, that we bought about four years ago. Also, we are having difficulty keeping the doors in alignment - I adjust them, then a week or so later, they're out of alignment again. I noticed this on the units in store, but I thought it was just the hammering from visitors. Maybe not...? So... "very disappointing" is all I can say. This unit is NOT the usual IKEA standard. I sincerely hope that the accountants haven't taken over at IKEA, and their products will then be cheapened.2

BeautifulAnonymous reviewerBought this with other items5
Besta frameAnonymous reviewerFrame for my besta cabinet. Well made, looks great and easy to assemble.5
BestaAnonymous reviewerGood quality and sturdy furniture, easy to build and looks great5
Bests unitAnonymous reviewerExcellent product to Crete a media unit, relatively easy to put together. You do need to take into account clearance for any rugs. The door hinges were a little tricky the supplied diagram wasn’t very clear but once I googled how they worked and how to attach them they worked a treat. 5
Actually the Frame is ok but everything else is shoddy!!Anonymous reviewerThese are a nightmare to put together with the drawers and cupboards. I wish I'd paid for Ikea to do it so that I could be more positive. The push in drawers don't shut properly and are horrific to put together and in the unit.2
Cheap and unstable Anonymous reviewerCheaply made and very unstable. 1
Lower framesAnonymous reviewerGood useful unit base4
UnitAnonymous reviewerdoes exactly what we wanted them for5
Sturdy!Anonymous reviewerSturdy and well made for the perfect unit look5
V. GOOD Anonymous reviewerbetter delivery, policy and pricing structure.5
I LOVE THIS UNIT!Anonymous reviewerI got the black frame with the oak veneer doors and finished it all with the black glass panel. It looks stunning and has lots of storage capacity. People are complaining about not being able to line the doors up, but you can, with patience! You just need to keep tweaking the hinges until everything lines up. I loved this one so much I got a bigger one for my dining area. They both look fantastic for the price. Ikea comes up trumps yet again for quality and price. Couldn't be happier.5
Good but more complex to build than neededAnonymous reviewerThis is a good, solid TV unit that can be customised in lots of ways. However, the back board seemed more complicated than it needed to be. There were three separate pieces that needed to be joined together with a plastic strip. It was stiff and we were concerned excess pressure would snap the back board. Why couldn't this be one piece with holes pre cut for cables? The pins for the shelves were also confusing. The larger ones didn't line up with the shelves so we binned these and used the smaller pins. Overall good product4
Terrible qualityAnonymous reviewerThis one is just horrendous. I have been a happy Ikea customer for over 25 year and have a lot of furniture from Ikea. This one is just rubbish. The boards sound like there is water running through them: a clear sign that the material is broken inside. The parts are awful quality or better to say cheap, cheaper, cheapest. Putting it together was a nightmare (never experienced this before). The doors are always misaligned until you wobble the cupboard a little. Truly disappointed in this product.1
Worst product ever purchased Anonymous reviewerI have multiple different pieces of furniture from a range of styles and this one by far is the worst. Awkward to put together and not so straightforward! The screws were too big for the hole meaning that I struggled when trying to put it together for the cheap screw heads to instantly start rounding off at the slightest slip! The doors I brought also had the same problem but then the hinges don't actually sit properly. I really do wish I'd have avoided it but am unable to simply return it so we're stuck with it. It's up now after almost three hours struggle 1

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
