Must be completed with BESTÅ suspension rail if you choose to mount the frame on the wall. This frame requires 2 suspension rails, sold separately.
The max load for a wall-hung frame depends on the wall material.
120 cm wide frames require 5 legs, or 4 legs and one BESTÅ supporting leg.

So we bought another unit, a Besta four door cabinet, but this time it seemed "different"...
It is definitely made more cheaply. I first noticed the poor finish, which is "thinner"/less substatial/less hardwearing than our older units, that we bought about four years ago.
Also, we are having difficulty keeping the doors in alignment - I adjust them, then a week or so later, they're out of alignment again. I noticed this on the units in store, but I thought it was just the hammering from visitors. Maybe not...?
So... "very disappointing" is all I can say. This unit is NOT the usual IKEA standard. I sincerely hope that the accountants haven't taken over at IKEA, and their products will then be cheapened.

Made out of cardboardAnonymous reviewerI had Besta's in our residence and loved it for modularity. I ordered exactly the same Besta in 2025 that I had ordered in 2023 and 2024.
The ones from 2023 and 2024 are brilliant. One received in 2025 totally opposite.
Quality wise, in the UK, you are better off buying from Range or HomeBargains than Ikea!

No hingesAnonymous reviewerPurchased a besta units via the self service in store, collected and upon building the unit there was no hinges included, called store and was told to order separately. Nowhere on the Ikea webpage or the self service did it say purchase hinges separately. Now have besta with no doors attached until I can return to store and spend more money for hinges that should be included in full purchase. Have previously purchased besta units and they had hinges included in order. So flabbergasted and frustrated at this.

The door hinges were a little tricky the supplied diagram wasn’t very clear but once I googled how they worked and how to attach them they worked a treat.

I wish I'd paid for Ikea to do it so that I could be more positive. The push in drawers don't shut properly and are horrific to put together and in the unit.

Luckily I was home. One was delivered with tape on that said "swap It". No explanation. No usual Ikea delivery list. I just thought it was something in DPD internal procedure.... until I came to build it. When I came to assemble the one in the swapIt box was damaged. Guess DPD did something to it. Not impressed at all. I have an upcoming big order but this has put me off. Besta units, not same quality as previous ones. Cams now plastic rather than metal.
