BÅRSLÖV sofa-bed comes with soft shapes and generously sized, comfortable cushions that make it a perfect place to sink into.
This sofa converts quickly and easily into a spacious bed when you remove the back cushions and pull out the underframe.
Storage space under the chaise longue. The lid stays open so you can safely and easily take things in and out.
The chaise longue can be placed either to the left or right, so you can adapt the sofa to your space and your preferences.
The cover has been treated with easy-care, which means that spills won’t seep into the fabric, but stay on the surface and are easily absorbed with a dry cloth.
The fixed sofa cover is made of TIBBLEBY, a dope-dyed polyester fabric with a soft surface, light luster and a discreet herringbone pattern.

The chaiselong is shorter than previous Anonymous reviewerIt’s perfect but my mistake not checking the chaiselong length. Our previous one was longer and this one isn’t long enough to lay on it full length of kegs it’s much shorter which is a little disappointing as your kegs stick out (5’3” short) and makes it uncomfortable.
A screw was missing and another screw didn’t fit the holeAnonymous reviewerOnline order only. Due to the screw problem, assembly could not be safely completed. The sofa bed had to be replaced after four hours of labour. This would involve building the sofa all over again, or paying a handy man to do it.
It was my only bed - that or the floor. So I slept on it. It is very comfortable, but the two missing screws are a problem.
Do not buy! Rubbish!Anonymous reviewerUnfortunately, after a few months, you can't use it as a bed anymore as the part which comes out to make the sofa into a bed detaches constantly and starts moving around when lying on it. What's even worse, this same part collapses, creating a kind of hole, so there is no chance to sleep on the sofa. Not worth the money and a visit to Ikea to check how comfy it looks as a few months show the real bad quality of Ikea's product.

Think twice before buying…Anonymous reviewerI can unfortunately confirm that the part that comes out to make the sofa into a bed detaches all time and starts moving around when laying on it. Such a shame that Ikea hasn’t recalled this product yet or done anything to fix this flaw..
Spacious sofa bedAnonymous reviewerSofa is quite firm to sit on but we preferred that over being too soft. Comfortable to sit on the L shape. We used it as a bed for two evenings and it was comfortable, much better than a previously owned metal sofa bed.
We did have a problem putting it back as a sofa as the mechanism has been put on incorrectly. Fortunately we will repair this ourselves rather than sending back and replacing.
Very handy having the storage section. We’ve have bought vacuum bags to shrink store all of the bedding when not in use.

Alright but needs improvementAnonymous reviewerGood things: Sofa colour is great, fabric is easy to clean. The pull out bed is super easy and also great to use if you want to chill watching a movie. Storage under is great. Price is affordable.
Bad things: The width of the sofa is too short 52cm is not long enough so you don't feel comfortable sitting (Sofa requires 60cm from cushion to edge of the sofa to be comfortable).
As a result we have to take the cushions off every time which is not ideal. Wish they would have built this sofa with 60cm width from the cushions to the edge of the seat, like the Holmsund Sofa. Would make a HUGE difference.
Also material is extremely firm, both to sit on and the cushions. Its really really firm. Again something that would be very easy for IKEA to amend.
Fix those two things and it would be a pretty solid sofa.
Solution: Remove the cushions and get other ones or buy filling for the cushions and make them less padded.

I’ve only had it 3 months and the pull out sofa bit doesn’t work properly and now the fabric stitching is coming undone on the sofa cushions 😭
Fundamental design flaw - sofa bed unusableAnonymous reviewerAs other reviewers mentioned, this sofa has a design flaw which renders the sofa bed portion both unusable and dangerous. When pulling out the bed the hook on the left side which holds it in place is not curved / bent enough so the whole bed portion detaches from the sofa. This means the bed can separate whilst you are on it, or you or small kids/animals can get trapped between it. It's also extremely frustrating to put the bed back inside once it becomes detached because you have to almost take half the sofa apart to get the hook mechanism back in place, otherwise you can't tuck the bed back in. The latch becomes undone due to the hook's design flaw at the slightest touch. I cannot believe IKEA hasn't addressed this given how many reviews have mentioned it. This means it's not a one-off damaged item, it's a fundamental design flaw of this sofa. I do not recommend buying it.
Very sad. It’s beautiful and firm but very poor quality Anonymous reviewerThe item arrived severely damaged out of the box with the wooden panel at the bottom of the L seat completely cracked and the wooden support underneath completely severed. I have spent half a day assembling and it is very comfy and pretty but the would is very poor quality. The drivers who delivered it took care with the packages so not sure how/when this happened. I am reluctant to deal with another delivery but £750 is far too steep a price for this quality. I feel it is worth less than half that in terms of quality :-(
Alright - not really worth price Anonymous reviewerThis was my first ever brand new sofa and in all fairness I should of listened to the ongoing issue of the pull out sofa as I’m having the same issue and it’s so discouraging especially when we’re trying to enjoy movie night as a family,
One of my issues is , it stains so easily that it’s so difficult to keep it clean so I’ve put throws over it to hide the fact it’s got spills and drawing from my toddler - I would of liked to have know it stained so easily so I could of prepared a bit easier but hey the life of having toddlers
For £750 + £40 delivery it’s alright but I would of payed half the price if possible due to the issue with the hinges and easy staining
Good except for sofa bed flawAnonymous reviewerAs mentioned in other comments, after the compartment is pulled up to make it a bed the slightest move can make it jimmy out and deattach. It would be perfect if this was fixed.
Not worth the moneyAnonymous reviewerIt's a good size. But whenever I pull out the bottom section to convert it into a bed, the whole chaise comes out very easily. The hooks underneath are too small. We reviewed the instructions a few times to see if there was something we did wrong, but we couldn't find anything. Definitely wish I had chosen a different sofa.
