BÅRSLÖV sofa-bed comes with soft shapes and generously sized, comfortable cushions that make it a perfect place to sink into.
This sofa converts into a spacious bed really quickly and easily, when you pull the underframe upwards and fold down the backrest
Big, practical storage space under the seat.
The cover has been treated with easy-care, which means that spills won’t seep into the fabric, but stay on the surface and are easily absorbed with a dry cloth.
The fixed sofa cover is made of TIBBLEBY, a dope-dyed polyester fabric with a soft surface, light luster and a discreet herringbone pattern.

AssemblyAnonymous reviewerIn the assembly guideline, the screw in Step 19 (screw number 152122) is hard to align with its hole because in Step 18 the wooden board is pushing against the wrong position. In Step 31, a screw (number 105107) cannot be fully driven into the screw hole because there is a metal hinge between the screw and the hole. The hinge was installed crookedly and is pushing against the screw, preventing it from turning all the way in, In Step 32, the wooden piece has only 3 holes that align with the screws---the remaining hole does not match the hole provided by the sofa itself.

The seat cushions started to show signs of sagging and indents very soon where we sat most often. We are not very big people so this was unexpected.
It has been returned and replaced with a more expensive Ikea sofa bed that is much more comfortable and better made.
I would give 5 stars for the Ikea returns policy. Everyone at Ikea when arranging for the exchange, from the Nottingham customer service staff to the delivery and pick up crews, were a pleasure to deal with.

Item arrived in two huge boxes. Dropped outside as they would never fit through the door. We opened it outside and took the pieces in as needed during assembly, which we found straight forward and was done in a couple of hours.
Sofa is really practical with great storage underneath. It's easy to pull out into the bed and put back as a sofa. Nice big size, and although firm we think comfortable. Great sofa-bed for the price.
Not for everyday useAnonymous reviewerWe bought the sofa for the living room and to use it as guest bed too. It is easy to assemble takes about 1h ,but once up you can see the creases in the fabric especially the sides. After 2 weeks of normal use the sit base started to sink on one side of the 3 grooves where has been stitched ,so now its not even and not comfortable to lie on and as it fixed you can't puff it up. We went for this sofa as it widest when made as a bed , two adults can easily fit in and the storage under is very handy for bedding. It is quite stiff to open as a bed but it could be as it's new. The fabric is good easy to clean,and the sofa it's is not to heavy to move around,but as I said not for everyday use . Shame it's on line only if we saw it in the show room probably would not go for it.

Great sofa / sofa bedAnonymous reviewerSearched far and wide for a sofa bed that had decent seat depth (64 cm), storage and a comfortable sleeping area. This is it. Managed to build it by myself in around 2 hours, and I'm not strong at all. Firm to sit on (which I prefer), so if you're looking for a squishy sofa, this is not it. The Kivik sofa range do items in the Tibbleby beige/grey colour, so I bought a Kivik footstool, which is a perfect match and is great as a chaise longue section (I didn't want the chaise version of the Barslov, as the seat depth is too short). Also bought a couple of Vimle headrests, which fit great. Bought an extra Kivik footstool cover in the Tibbleby, out of which I made covers for the headrests. Sofa bed is incredibly spacious and comfortable, especially with a mattress topper. Easy to pull out, loads of storage, and I love the design. I may take some of the stuffing out of the back cushions to create more depth, and because they are a bit too firm. All in all, great sofa bed.
