The minor downside, obvious from any photo or display, is the recessed section who’s is part of the design/appeal.
Personal opinion and doesn’t greatly affect that it’s a useful okay unit.

and cracked ,actually they are not good quality
Also not accessible from inside as the doors are so narrow.

Easy to build and excellent valueAnonymous reviewerI have bought two of these and two of the small shelf units to fit behind our kitchen island rather than put stools there as the overhang is the same width as these. It gives us much needed extra kitchen space. Excellent value and easy to build. The hard to get to space at the side isn't an issue as I just put trays of drink cans, and box of tea towels in but appreciate it might not suit other people.

Screws and dowels a lot smaller than normal Ikea furniture and fitting screws are smaller still so make sure you have multiple screwdriver bits or a variety of hand screwdrivers. I used 4 different sizes in bits. Door a pain to put on top fitting but I used a metal ruler to push down and pop into place. Very good value for money.
