So happy Anonymous reviewerI love the desk a lot it was so quick and easy to put together and the finish feels great super sturdy 5
Used as small dressing table. Anonymous reviewerLovely table, fitted into a small space as required and I think good value. 5
Great.Anonymous reviewerThis was the perfect size. The assembly was a little tricky at the end but the lift up section for wires was a bonus.5
Excellent little deskAnonymous reviewerPerfect little desk for people with limited space. Great quality, well built.5
Should have been a lot easierAnonymous reviewerHave put together many pieces of IKEA furniture over the years. This deck was okay UNTIL we got to the hinges. I watched video after video and couldn’t get the hinge to “simply click in place”. My desk is now complete, is functional and does the job intended minus the hinges. 3
Cute desk but the cable management is not greatAnonymous reviewerI wanted a small desk to replace my Micke desk which had cable management and I thought this would be great.
I have a dock that I have used for a long time to connect multiple devices to my laptop and monitor. My monitor is large.
This was a very very tight fit. I had to buy 90° connectors to make it fit. In addition the outlet for the cables, which you can see from the photos, is in the way so my monitor has to sit to the right or the left but cannot fit centrally as it covers the gap, completely when placed centrally.
It would have helped if the flap opened at the back and the space for cables was either wider, or deeper, like the Micke.
In summary, with a few small tweaks this desk could be so much better.2
Great desk fits perfectly Anonymous reviewerGood desk easy to put together looks lovely in our study room. 👍5
Great DeskAnonymous reviewerA really lovely desk. Although a bit fiddly to get the hinges for the cable compartment on. 4
Perfect!!Anonymous reviewerSame great quality as every other item of furniture bought from IKEA. Very sturdy and surprisingly large drawers.

Just the jobAnonymous reviewerIt was all good5
Alex deskAnonymous reviewerI waited 2-3 months for the Alex desk in the washed oak option to come back into stock, that’s how much I wanted it as it matched my other items. I’m a 76 year old female and I built it myself with no problem at all. I’m using the desk to sit at to dry and style my hair, and keeping my dryer etc in the compartment at the back all hidden away and tidy 👍🏻5
Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerLove the design of the desk but quality is poor. Within a few months of being used the surface of the desk started to wear away at the front where it had been in contact with my arms. Was sent a replacement but now 17 months on exactly the same thing is happening to that one even though I’ve been really careful about avoiding as much contact with my arms as I can ( quite tricky when I use the desk for work most days! ) .. The desk looks shabby as the colour under the oak effect is white so stands out. I can see that others have experienced exactly the same issue. For the price I expected much better quality and I wouldn’t recommend. Overall really disappointing. 1
Fantastic deskAnonymous reviewerVery well made, loving the narrower size perfect for my room. Elegant and creates a sense of space with the design.5
Good size, let down by materials and some featuresAnonymous reviewerThis desk is perfect to fit into a small space for a home office setup, but has several annoying issues.
As others have mentioned, the desk surface is not at all durable, after three months careful use it is already peeling, the white may be better as that seems to be the base colour under the wood effect.
The drawers are a decent size, you can fit two reams of A4 paper next to each other in each one, but only extend to about 2/3rds of their depth, so it's easy to loose things at the back of them.
The drawers and cable tidy are quite shallow, limited by the need to fit your legs under the the desk, 7cm internal depth, which means not everything will fit in them, larger power adaptors are a particular struggle.
It's also not obvious from the images that there is a metal support under the desktop about 10cm from the front which reduces the clearance underneath by just over a centimetre, which means that the matching 6 drawer unit only fits without it's casters.3
Great looking affordable deskAnonymous reviewerNice looking sturdy desk, easy to build. I haven't got it in place and in use yet but can't wait to fill the drawers with all the stuff that clutters up my current desk top.. 1
Really nice deskAnonymous reviewerThis desk fits perfectly in my daughter's room, and the size is really nice. Haven't had it long so can't comment on long term quality yet. Found the instructions really simple and only took 2-3 hours for my 15yr old daughter to put it together all by herself! Can see from other reviews that they found it difficult to put the clasps in, but it only took 10 mins of fiddling. Quite annoying but got through it!5
Happy with purchaseAnonymous reviewerWe only wanted a small desk and this was perfect for the small bedroom.
2 small but not very deep drawers for stationery items.4
Great deskAnonymous reviewerFits really well in the room and great for the purpose it was meant for - the grandkids use it regularly. Drawers are handy for their paper and pencils5
Tips for assemblyAnonymous reviewerOne reviewer said the drawer runners work backwards - that's only true if you install them the wrong way round! Honestly, look at the instructions carefully to make sure you have the runner oriented correctly and they will be fine.
Several reviewers said they couldn't get the hinges to click on. The bracket that the hinge clicks onto must be correctly oriented - the instructions do show this but look carefully to get them the right way round. Also, if you turn the centre screw of the bracket, you will adjust the left to right adjustment which may make it difficult to then click on the hinges.
Don't believe the reviews that say you have to drill extra holes or holes don't line up - as with all IKEA products, orientation is key!
Finally, watch out because the leg assemblies are handed - there are two tiny cut outs in the top rail which must face inwards - the instructions do show this but it's easy to miss as it isn't highlighted which is unusual for IKEA.5
Lovely desk, a bit moreAnonymous reviewerLovely desk, a bit more expensive than some of the others, but it is much better design and quality5
