The cover is removable and can be machine washed. Divide the cover to make it easier to fit in the washing machine.

Left it for 72 hours before we slept on it, any smell had dissipated by then.
Feel like it is doing me good as it is very supportive. Make sure that you have a slatted Base underneath as it does need to air.

I ordered online and wasn't able to check it out in the store first, which was a risk I knew I was taking. Previously I had a thick Costco memory foam mattress, so it may be the rough transition down to something much thinner. I keep finding myself thinking this mattress is just too hard to give a good night's sleep. It is not actually uncomfortable, it just fails to be comfortable.
It does smell odd initially, but after a week or so it faded. I keep my mattress in an encasement for protection, which also helps to cut down on the odor.

Comfy mattress and great price Anonymous reviewerThis was purchased to replace an old IKEA mattress. The old one was so comfortable, despite its age, that I was worried I wouldn’t find one as good. This is perfect and works well on my lift mechanism divan bed. The only gripe is that it cannot be turned, due to different fabric on the other side.

The smell is disgusting Anonymous reviewerI bought it about two months ago, and the smell lingers. It's a chemical smell, like a solvent or similar to fuel when it's not burned properly. I don't think it's healthy, and I'm sure it can be absorbed through the skin.
I'm very disappointed, and it doesn't meet the safety standards I've always come to expect from IKEA.

Extremely comfortableAnonymous reviewerI chose this mattress as I am a side sleeper and I also had a back injury that still can flare up if I am sleeping on the wrong mattress. It is very comfortable and it helps me to have a good night sleep and relive the pain from my back. I also like that it is a foam mattress because I don't like to bounce around in bed when I turn. The layers of the foam support my body perfectly and allow me to have a good night sleep. It also keeps me warm due to its material. This is the most comfortable bed I've ever had. I love it and very grateful for the designer.

It certainly is firm (as we wanted). It also really does smell when opened; this is our experience of that:
On delivery we put the mattress, uncovered, on a slatted bed frame before going away for two weeks. On our return the room did still smell - but much less strongly. Open windows helped and, once the bed was made-up to sleep in, the smell disappeared and became completely un-noticeable. So, to us, the smell is a temporary issue that is worth putting up with. The lack of star no5 is just because of that first smell.

Mattress sinks in just few months. Anonymous reviewerBought the mattress in march 2023 for when i move into a new house with new bed. I started sleeping on the mattress 9 months ago. And i gradually started waking up with severe back pains. It took me a while to realise it was the mattress as i had a major surgery and was in bed for a weeks recovering, so i blamed my pains on the surgery. However when i fully recovered and was back on my feet, I still wake up with very painful back ache whenever I sleep on this mattress but if i slept on another mattress (Morgedal mattress from IKEA) I wake up feeling good.
I regret buying this mattress, I should have stayed with the morgedal mattress which is what is the my sisters bed and the mattress i had before i bought a king size bed and decided to “upgrade” the mattress because this mattress is more expensive and thicker than the morgedal. Unfortunately I found it is not a better quality.
Now I am sleeping on the rug on my bedroom floor just to get a better night sleep as the floor is firmer.
Not comfy, back pain after few monthsAnonymous reviewerDefinitely bad option for me, my back is killing me first time in my life. I feel like I'm in the big hole after the night and I'm not overweighted at all.
