Agen chair - standing the test of time.Anonymous reviewerWe bought four Agen chairs for our conservatory in 2020. Now 5 years old they are nearly as good as when first bought. They are lightweight and only take up a small amount of floor space. We found that a seat cushion improved comfort and, as I have short legs, found the comfort improved after removing a couple of inches from the chair legs (only one chair, as husband and son have regular length legs!). They've been indoors for the 5 years but are exposed to hot sun in Summer and have survived amazingly well.5

After unpacking (actually only the arms and seats were partially wrapped), it's found there were mold like dirt in several places. Had to clean the chair twice before use. There were also deep scratches on the bamboo legs.2

I am a thiccums but there wasn't any info on weight limit, and I'm not so heavy that I expect a chair to not be able to cope... What is rattan?

Rattan is a strong yet lightweight and flexible material made from the rattan plant’s stem. It can be used both whole and split into thinner materials that are braided into things like furniture and baskets. Rattan belongs to the palm family and climbs along trees, though no trees are required to be felled when the rattan cane is harvested. Since it is a natural material and the products are often handmade by skilled craftspeople, each object gets a completely unique look.
