This has caused me neck and back pain!Anonymous reviewerWe got this mattress a year ago and it took me a while to realize that it causes back and neck pain both me and my husband wake up with achy neck and back. It is so hard and firm. It was a waste of money unfortunately. It is not worth it if you are not used to a firm mattress or if you are a stomach or side sleeper1
Not bad for the priceAnonymous reviewerVery reasonably priced mattress. Bought to replace our previous IKEA memory foam mattress, which was excellent . This one has very little smell, and only needed 1 day to fill out. Comfortable to lie on, but without the reinforced sides of the last one, it becomes a bit of a slope, unless you lie right in the middle. Almost fell out. It might end up in the spare room.3

Apart from comfort, I was really pleased this mattress is relatively thin and therefore easy to fit sheets to. Another plus is that it is easy to manoeuvre as I like to turn the mattress every few months. Also, I thought, very competitively priced.5

ÅBYGDA MATTRESS MEDIUM FIRMAnonymous reviewerAfter months of searching for a medium firm mattress, I have found it at last and at an excellent price, 2 to 3 times cheaper than other brands. Other companies mattresses which were supposedly medium firm were rock hard. I had to send 3 back.
To be accurate, this Åbygda mattress is still firm enough to support your body, unless you weigh more than 85 kg. Husband is 84 kg, he finds it perfect.
On opening it jumped out of the plastic wrapping. I was expecting it to be smelly, but hardly any smell at all, just a new smell. It seemed it reached full expansion after a day, but we left it unused for another day. At last, after one night, my hips and shoulders no longer ached. I now look forward to go to bed.
If you prefer a firm mattress, you can get the firm option. But for those who don't like sleeping on a slab, go ahead, you won't regret it, and it won't break the bank.5

It does initially smell when you unpack, but this disappears within a few days, so may be worth airing it out until first use.5
