next to impossible to openAnonymous reviewertried to put the batteries inside but just could not get it open. the manual says to use a screwdriver - it doesnt work. Why couldnt they have done something with a screw or something else.
Totally pointlessAnonymous reviewerI should have heeded the warnings about battery life from the other reviews, but I didn't think it would be this pathetic. If you plan on placing inside a cabinet or cupboard with ANY kind of frequent use don't bother with these. I bought six to place inside TV cabinets that don't get opened much but they've lasted just over a week. I am not prepared to go through batteries or keep recharging ones to upkeep these so these are just little plastic pieces of trash. FAIL. Just design some better ones and people will pay more.
Perfect...Anonymous reviewerBought these on the off chance.....we have a staircase that is a little dark and two big dogs that sometimes get up in the middle of the night...put 3 of these on the stairs and they go a great job....no need to wake anybody else up by turning the main lights on....stay on long enough though to get down or up the stairs. Work a treat.....got some in the wardrobes as well...👍...

Motion detection is very sensitive, light output is impressive, and battery life is sufficient (~3 months with a very busy cupboard).
Would've been nice if they could take an optional second cell to extend battery life for a busy cupboard, but it's not too difficult to replace and recharge the battery.
Unfortunately the light output is slightly dimmer on NiMh cells (e.g. LADDA) compared to alkaline due to the lower voltage. Not entirely sure why this is, as internally it uses a voltage booster circuit.

Cheap, bright, but works any time of dayAnonymous reviewerThese are great little lights. The sensor is sensitive and works from quite a distance, and the warm-white light is bright.
My only slight criticism is that the sensor works irrespective of existing light environment, so the light will still go off during the day. Not sure how long the battery will last if it's in a high-traffic location (e.g. landing) and comes on 24/7

The light comes on when I open the door. Brilliant. Works perfectly. And cannot believe the price. Also you can wash the sticky ring if you want to re-position the light, which I did and it works!
Effective, versatile and easy to maintainAnonymous reviewerThese little lights have so many applications - in a wardrobe, media unit, kitchen cupboards and probably more I haven’t thought of yet. The sensor works great, and the light they put out is useful and on the warmer side of the spectrum.
Anyone wondering about battery maintenance need not worry, as after these are stuck on via the included sticky pad you can very easily pull them off to change the battery (use of a screwdriver to remove the back is only needed when they are not mounted on a surface)

HandyAnonymous reviewerYou can place these cheap little units anywhere, the sensor is well set for triggering, battery life is dependant on usage. I have 8 lights for my stairs and landing for less than £15 quid and 5 mins work. Lighting is bright and stays on for the right amount of time.
