DIRIGERA hub is the heart of a smart home as it enables you to connect and control your smart products in the IKEA Home smart app.
Picture yourself being able to wake up, dim the lights, raise your blinds, and listen to some music - all without having to get out of bed (or having to rewire your home).
You can easily keep an eye on your home even when you're away using the IKEA Home smart app, for example to check if the coffee machine is switched off and to turn lights on or off.
All our smart products work independently. Adding them to the hub opens up new ways to control and customise your home – with extra functions and features when you combine two or more products.

Impossible to set upAnonymous reviewerI bought this to replace my now discontinued tradfri. I could not set it up. I tried everything but it just would not work. Some people online said the only way to fix the set up issue is to use an android phone with an older version of the app but I don’t have an android phone so I ended up returning it.
WAKE UP IKEA - roll out support before you sell the devicesAnonymous reviewerDIRIGERA is advertised as a Matter‑capable hub, but it still runs firmware 2.975.2, which does not include Thread. IKEA is selling Thread devices that cannot be used with their own hub. This is a broken ecosystem and a misleading product. Avoid until IKEA actually enables Thread.

Waste of time and moneyAnonymous reviewerCurrently impossible to pair 3 lamps and 3 different smart bulbs. The first two lamps worked, after a load of tries. But the last 3 lamps only flicker 3 times, which isn't enough to complete the pairing process. Either all 3 of those bulbs are faulty or the hub itself is faulty. I shall be bringing back the whole set up tomorrow, I have been trying to pair the last 3 lamps for 2 days now.

Smart home, here we come!!Anonymous reviewerBeing fairly mature, well ancient really, we were late onto the smart home scene, but we needed to change the bulbs in our kitchen lights, and found tha answer at Ikea.
Bulbs and controller bought, we are now able to choose the shade and intensity of the lights, we learned the Dirigera hub opened up the rest of the house to other smart ideas. Very pleased with the results, and our family and friends are most impressed.

not without its disappointmentsAnonymous reviewerHaving used the old Tradfri hub for some years it was gratifying to see that the bugs got fixed eventually, which at least gives me confidence that the bugs in the new app will also get fixed in the fullness of time. To be fair, they aren't so serious, in my experience, just little things like light bulb names that get lost the first time they are entered, but seem to stick at the second attempt.
But the hardware is a bit of a disappointment. This hub has only one screw position (vs 2 on tradfri) so will never be level with the USB and Ethernet cables pulling on it. Worse, the instructions insist that a pan-head screw is needed (rather than CSK) - but in fact you're going to need a "wafer head" screw. That's really dumb. Then when it's hanging on the wall the IKEA logo on the untidy tag is upside down - d'oh ! How much thought went into this ? Let's hope the circuitry and software were given the bulk of the attention !

Upgrade firmware first!Anonymous reviewerI couldn't connect my shiny new hub to a single shiny new device and thought it was faulty.
Then tried to connect to one of old devices - with no QR code. And all worked great!
After a bit of sleuthing found how to upgrade firmware and all worked as expected since then :)
Really do not know why the app doesn't say wait until we update your device first!
Have all sorts of tiny glitches - loses name of device so end up with 5 Light 1, lights and remotes go walking around rooms etc.
After a couple of iterations and factory resets of some devices, very nice :)

setup easyAnonymous reviewervery easy to setup woudent load on to my iphone at first had to turn off vpn then everything worked great. good interface rooms easy to setup along with scenes, still learning with it but seems strieght forward.

Setup couldn't have been easier and only took a few steps. Connecting smart plugs and bulbs was a breeze.
And with it being Matter compatible, it was connected to my Google Home Hub seamlessly and I can now control everything from one place.
The only thing that might be a downside for some is that it needs a permanent wired connection to your router. It would have been even better if that was only needed for setup. Not an issue for me, but worth taking into consideration depending on where your router is located.

Smart Home IntegrationAnonymous reviewerI was looking for some new lighting for the living room and was keen to have them integrate with Apple Home as not all smart lighting does. I’m so pleased that by adding the Dirigera hub my new IKEA lights and bulbs integrate beautifully with Apple Home. I was even able to connect the IKEA smart switches so if I have any visitors they can still turn the lights on and off. Love it. It was a wee but fiddly to get the bulbs connected to the hub for the first time but once I understood how to do it it wasn’t too bad.
