I would rather the arm rests were adaptable in height rather than fixed. I purchased a big carpet protector that the chair can smoothly move on. I bought this with the knowledge (in the blurb) I thought, that the wheels braked when you were sitting on them. However, now on this mat rather than carpet, the wheels do not lock and I find myself trying to grip where I'm sitting as I seem to slip backwards.
