My lampshade doesn't fit on my light fitting

You will require a shade reducing ring. Fortunately, IKEA sell them under the product name MONTERA.

Our MONTERA shade ring reduces the size of your lampshade fitting, allowing your European or Continental fitting to work with standard UK fittings. This is available to buy online, as well as in-store, within the Lighting Department.

IKEA's lamp shades come in a standard European size, so this item will be required if you have a standard UK light fitting.
