How does Collect from IKEA location or external pickup point work?

Using the Pick-up at an IKEA store service is easy. Add the products you want to your shopping bag and select Pick-up at an IKEA location as the delivery method at checkout. Then choose the pick-up location and pick-up time that suits you. We’ll send you an order confirmation with the details by email or text message. When your order is ready for pick-up, we’ll send you a separate pick-up notification. Please wait for this notification before heading to pick up your order.

How to place a pick-up order

  1. Add the products you want to your shopping bag.
  2. At checkout, select Pick-up at an IKEA location as the delivery method.
  3. Choose the IKEA store or external pick-up point that suits you.
  4. Select an available pick-up time.
  5. Complete your order.
Any IKEA Family discounts and other offers will be calculated at checkout.
If the pick-up point you want is not available, it may be temporarily busy. You can try again in 1–2 days to see if the pick-up point has become available.

When is my order ready for pick-up?

After placing your order, you’ll receive an order confirmation by email or text message. Your order will be ready during the time window shown in the order confirmation.
When your order has been picked and is ready for collection, we’ll send you a separate pick-up notification and pick-up instructions. The pick-up notification tells you where and when you can collect your order.
You can pick up your order once you’ve received the notification that it is ready for collection.

How long is my order available for pick-up?

When you pick up your order from a store or an external pick-up point, we’ll keep your order for 3 days from the day of the notification. You can also check this time and the other pick-up instructions in the pick-up notification you receive.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring:
  • your order confirmation, either printed or on a mobile device
  • the locker code you received by text message, if your order is in a pick-up locker
Someone else can collect the order on your behalf. They’ll need to bring the order confirmation or the locker code.

Where do I collect my order?

Check the pick-up location and pick-up instructions in the pick-up notification you received.
If you’re collecting your order from an IKEA store, the pick-up location is usually at the customer service point, where exchanges and returns are also handled. Please always check the exact pick-up location in your pick-up notification.
You can check the opening hours of the pick-up location on the Stores and opening hours page. Orders placed in a pick-up locker can be collected at any time of day.

When you pick up your order

  1. Show your order confirmation. If your order is in a pick-up locker, enter the locker code.
  2. Check that you have received all the products you ordered.
  3. Also check that the products and packages are undamaged.
If your order includes large or heavy products, please make sure in advance that you can carry them to your car and all the way home.
If you need help with heavy products, you can ask our co-workers for assistance when they are available. Please note that carrying help may not be available immediately.

Can I change or cancel my pick-up order?

You can track and manage your order on the Track and manage your order page.
You can cancel your order through the service if the order processing stage still allows cancellation. Once the order has moved to a certain stage, cancellation or changes may no longer be possible online.
