How do I start using a new IKEA mattress?

You can start using a rolled-up mattress immediately. However, it is good to remember that it takes about 3-4 days for the mattress to settle into its shape.

Our mattresses can be used right away, but it may take up to 72 hours for your new mattress to reach its proper shape. IKEA mattresses are packed in space-saving, tightly sealed packages and usually rolled up, which makes them slightly flatter for transportation.

If you bought a foam or latex mattress, it is good to remember that it takes about 3-4 days for the mattress to air out and settle into its shape. If you bought a spring mattress, it will reach its shape soon after opening the package.
