  • At IKEA you're free to change your mind!

    We make things easy for you. Learn more about our return policy here.

  • We guarantee that almost all of our items can be returned. However, items that have been personalised, photos printed using the Kiosk system or natural plants, among other items, fall outside the scope of our Return policy.

    At IKEA we love it when you let your imagination run wild and add your own personal touch to our products, but before you get creative, please note that if you do these items cannot be returned.

  • You can return your goods at any of our stores or contact Customer Service. We'll issue a refund once we've checked that the items are in good condition.

    If you request a refund at one of our IKEA stores, we'll process the refund right there on the spot:

    For card refunds, you can usually see the amount in your account immediately, though it can sometimes take up to 3 days to see it in your account.

    For cash refunds, we'll the pay you on the spot.

    For gift card or promotional card returns, the refund will be immediate.

    If you ask customer service to collect an item from your home ahead of its return, we'll refund the amount to your card or bank account within 3 working days of receiving the goods at our store.

  • You may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the items purchased online at IKEA.es.

    Before the end of this period, you may cancel your entire order at the IKEA Customer Service counter at any IKEA store or by writing to csc.cancelacionesibes.es@ingka.ikea.com with the cancellation request found in our General Terms and Conditions for Online Purchases.

    If you exercise your right of withdrawal within this period, IKEA will refund all payments received, including costs for delivery and order preparation. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used to make the purchase and within a maximum term of 3 working days from communication of the withdrawal. If additional services were hired, we'll refund all payments received, provided that the hired services have not been fully rendered.

    If, within this period, you decide to return only some of the products in an order (partial withdrawal), IKEA will reimburse you for the amount of the products returned. In this case, the proportional part of the value for the hired services will be refunded when the order amount that is refunded brings the order into a lower delivery cost bracket.

    The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have suffered any kind of wear and tear or deterioration.

  • Be sure to check when and how you can make a claim in case of visible or hidden damage.

    Inspect your items! When you receive your items, please check that everything looks to be in order. Any visible damage or loss should be recorded on the delivery note so that we have a record of what's happened.  

    Check all pieces before assembling an item. If you spot a defect or flaw, contact us via our chat by heading to "returns and issues: issues with my purchase". You can then chat with one of our co-workers and explain what happened.

  • IKEA to the rescue! All our articles are subjected to rigorous quality tests, if you think that your product may have a defect, we will not play the Swedish with it. 

    For any claim, remember to always have the purchase receipt or invoice at hand.

    • If you have bought in a store, and when you get home you see that it has some damage, take it to your nearest IKEA store so that our colleagues can personally assess it and give you a solution. 
    • If we have sent the order to your home address, you can manage the claim yourself at this linkyou that all our products have at least a three-year guarantee.

  • There are several situations in which you can request a refund of the VAT paid on your purchases.

    You can apply for a VAT refund in either of the following two situations:

    VAT REFUND TO TRAVELLING CUSTOMERS.

    • If you are a natural person that resides in a non-EU country or are a resident in Ceuta, Melilla or the Canary Islands, you can claim a VAT refund on your IKEA purchases.

     

    VAT REFUND FOR DIPLOMATS AND COMPANIES ON A COMMERCIAL TRIP.

    • If you are an IKEA customer and you are diplomatic, consular or NATO staff, or if you are a company (EU or non-EU), you'll need to request the VAT from us directly.

  • Did you know...? Your product guarantee starts on the date of purchase. To exercise your guarantee, you'll always need to show the receipt.

  • Missing a screw? Can't find some loose parts? Don't worry, we have all the spare parts you need to make your furniture, accessory or appliance as good new

    You can collect a part or screw in store or submit a request here. We'll send it to your home in a few days and won't charge you a thing.
